My experience with Toyota of Cedar Park

 

So, you're saying that they gave you the hose.

 

I made my deal with the internet mgr.

Got there to eval the trade. They gave me the agreed on price and then added $499 for tint. WTF? Then they went total retard on the trade in value. 1 1/2 hours of my life wasted. Reevaluating the deal today. It will probably happen but they already lost their "Happy" customer.

Bummer. Bought my Taco at Performance Toyota, (now Legends Toyota), in KC, Kansas, and the Tundy at Ringler. Neither place tried to f me on the trade or add any nonsense. I "had to" listen to the finance manager at Performance, so he could check the box for his employer, but the chat was entirely about KC Chiefs football.

Only way to stay out of dealer hell is to sell any trade yourself, then deal with them over email or phone on the new. If you leave any negotiation you end up in the hell pit for some period of time. Sometimes you choose to go in and that's fine, but need to expect the games whenever to step foot in for real.

That's my experience anyway. If I step foot in a dealer I go in with the price for what I want and the trade and if not in my range,,, bye-bye. Being in the Houston area, if a dealer doesn't work with me, I just throw a rock, hit the next dealer and move to them. It's taken a few iterations for me to realize that I don't need them, if it doesn't work, not a problem.

 

Totally agree. I had the numbers in my head and it didn't work, so I walked ........... usually they run you down in the parking lot. I will finish the deal on email/texts, maybe today, while I'm at work making $$$. Not sitting in their showroom again.
