    TW,

So far you all have been great providing feedback. I have a 2020 TRD OR DCSB with:
    Current set up:
    2” Rough Country Spacer
    2” Rear block
    17” Black Rhino Chamber Wheels
    P285/70-17 Nitto Ridge Grappler

I have since decided to do things the “right way”. I have one order/ plan to order- future set up:
    -Bilstein 6112/5160 (ordered)
    -HS Progressive AAL (back order)
    -17x8.5 RRW RR6-H -12/4.25bs (ordered)
-LT(LRC/D) 285/70-17 Nitto Ridge Grappler or Goodyear Duratrac (see other thread- still deciding)

In order to avoid slight fitment issues and for a better ride... I have decided to order new UCAs. I am overseas and I would like everything ready to install when I get home in a few weeks.

I am leaning toward SPC UCA’s
(All take off good will be up for sale- less than 1k on the truck)

    Any other suggestions?

I think you’re on the right track. SPC’s give you all the alignment options to minimize running and are really good bang for the buck.

I was recently looking at UCAS. And I ended up with the JBA STDs, and I am happy with them. Seemed to be the best bang for my buck to me.

JBA or Dobinson. JBA gives you plenty of options.

Saw JBA doesn’t work with 285 tires, you need a spacer. That’s what the website says

I know you said best value, but the aluminum ones I keep seeing from I think it's 74Weld look very nice.

If I ever buy another set of aftermarket UCA. I'd probably go JBA.

He won’t need a spacer for 285s with the wheels he got. Only needed with stock wheels, as is the case for every UCA on the market (including oem).

''Please Note: 32.5" and larger diameter tires need aftermarket wheels with less than factory wheel backspace.'' per JBA

no concerns here, I have 16x8 0 offset rims I put on soon after I bought the truck new in 2016.

Because the pivot Joints are more durable, require no maintenance and are very similar to the OEM design. The ball joint is also grease able and more easily interchangeable with a sealed joint. Open Ball joint designs require more maintenance including pressing in and out new spherical bearings when they go bad and properly lubing the pivot joints. Plus the polyurethane bushings are kind of a bad design which are noisy and can easily deform.

The JBL's look like a good design too if you don't think you want to mess with the extra adjustment. Probably be my second choice.

You can't go wrong with JBA or SPC. Both high quality parts. I'm running JBA and I'm very happy with them.

Those TC arms are junk imo. The length of the bolt that goes through the joint combined with direction of force makes them failure prone IMO. We sheared one on my buddies 2015. Grade 5 bolt instantly bent, grade 8 was deformed after a few slow miles on Forest roads.

Unsure where you came up with the strength comparison, but Uniballs are about as strong as it gets. Definitely stronger than the SPC ball adjustable joint design.

Pressing new Uniballs in and out is very simple if you know what you are doing. And is easily done on the truck.

    All,

will they help provide more clearance for a 285?
They allow more adjustment in addition to travel as I understand it.
