Did you install with a winch too or just use the fair lead plate? Also also what suspension are you on?

Just the plate for now, I have to get a winch for it. It is on the stock suspension. I just ordered the Eibach kit, so it will soon have a lift.

Install is much easier if you do not remove the bumper like all vídeos suggest. All you need to do is cut out the center section out first. I didn’t even take off the front cover before cutting the center section out. The aluminum support and brackets will come out easily through the center section.

Yea I’m running the basic 5100 with 887s currently but have 888s on the way. Wasn’t sure how bad I’ll sag with the 887 Until I can swap my 888s out.

My dad actually just bought me this bumper + a light bar as a grad gift. Sadly I don't own any tools or have the ability to install this. I called 4 Wheel Parts and they quoted me $800 for installation (yikes, more expensive than the bumper).

Does anyone in the Socal area have experience installing this and wanna help a girl out? I'd be more than happy to kick down some cash too! :help:

You can do this install with some pretty basic tools honestly. Maybe $100 worth.
Lowe’s has craftsman mechanic tool set on sale for $50 I believe. Get a hand saw that has a fine edge that can cut plastic. Probably $20. Or spend about $60 and get a multi tool. Shop Facebook marketplace and could even get one cheaper then that.

I’d offer assistance but Iowa is not really that close to Cali lol

but if you’re in any groups I know there are lots around you that would help. I used to go to Cali a lot when I lived in Arizona and met lots of people out there with builds.

Post a thread in your local region... I'm fairly certain for less than a 6-pack of beer, someone will be willing to help.

Congrats on graduating and  to your dad for an awesome grad gift.

    No problem

I am about to start my install this week since my new coils are coming in. It seems pretty straight forward. Lot of people said don’t bother with removing bumper. I personally will still probably remove mine since I have the Meso light covers you install which require moving the bumper. Annoying. But might as well get it all done lll

good luck with installation then! I've been seeing not to remove the bumper either, everythings still stock on my front end so I don't think I'll have to

When I subtracted the weight of the parts I removed it ended up being a difference of 50 pounds.

Just ordered from CarID. Seems like they had a good price. Never ordered from them before, so fingers crossed.

i installed mine with a Smittybilt X20 10K winch with synthetic line and a Rigid 20” lightbar. i’m on Bilstien 6112 set at 5/6 and i lost a bit of lift after the install. Going to upgrade to the heavier bilstien springs.051BD040-2609-4AD7-8B48-39ECAA18CCDE.jpg

Just curious, what's everyone doing with that aluminum crash bar after install? Just pitching it? Recycling? Is that sellable?
