Was that your OTD price? Also, I'm not seeing 0% financing now. Is that based on region?

Cash for them is irrelevant.. They actually prefer you finance. And I would say a 2wd sr will get you out the door at 30

A huge part of the equation is going to be taxes. If you live in South Carolina taxes Cap at $500. If you live in Georgia it’s 6.6% of the price of the truck(~2k). 2wd v6 sr5 msrp starts at $32,065. In sc taxes and fees ~$1000. You’re doing really well if you get 10% off MSRP plus the $1500 rebate. 32-1.5k=30.5*.9=27.45+taxes and fees. $2500 wiggle room for taxes, options, less off MSRP.
Like Jonny said, cash is a relevant. You would actually be better off never mentioning cash at all. Just talk price of the truck until that is settled and you are in the finance room. they make money off financing the vehicle so if they believe that you will be financing then they will be more likely to give you a better better deal.

Exactly!! I would just walk in and ask for the invoice on the truck. Pay them invoice less destination charge. probably close to 3 grand. Less the 1500 rebate. Plus the tax and dumb doc fee and your pretty darn close to 30

Thx, this regular pricing thread is great but mostly just has double cab TRD models on it, thought that the more specific thread for SR / SR5 would be helpful . I got a little lucky on my deal, got it when the COVID fear was starting to peak, the rebate popped up to 1500, and there was still inventory. I had two or three other dealers telling me they couldn't come close and to
" buy it there" when I quoted them the price. So I did. :)

The 0% finance promotion was for memorial day. They extended it to June 1, 2020. It seems it's now over. Out the door was $41,849. This is for a 2020 Off-Road 4x4 w/TRD Offroad Premium package (JBL audio, leather interior, tonneau cover, etc).

That sounds like a sweet deal! Did you test drive it when you got there to make sure there wasn’t any issues? Any pics ?

Easier said that done haha. Some places won’t show you the invoice. And some places like California mark up the price based on market value. I’ve looked at a few dealerships in SoCal and they want you to pay sticker and won’t even budge on the price lol. What’s a guy to do? Haha.

You're right mostly. I was able to get the invoice from Toyota of Orange and was able to apply the then-current Promos (0% financing, -$1,750 discount). Prior to settling with Toyota of Orange, I wasn't able to get that kind of service from Longo, Westminister, West Coast, Carson and a bunch others.

They were all really tight with their prices because of the limited inventory of Tacoma's.

Nice, good to hear you found one that worked for you. I guess I’ll wait and see when things ramp back up again.

Right on. The salesman from Toyota of Orange stated that inventory should ramp back up around end of July or early August -- that's just what he told me during our casual conversation.

Honestly you’d be better off traveling for a deal. Contact dealers in other states and fly or rent a car to it.

Well that’s only a little over %5 off of msrp so that would be high for my taste.

That would actually be almost 9% off. The original MSRP might be the $38,857, but I'm assuming "appearance package" is an added option. So, if it were me, I'd be using the $40,047 number as my MSRP, not the $38,857. If they can remove the "appearance package", then do your calculation based off of the $38,857. I'd also be interested as to what the "customer service fee" was for and what it entailed.

You're absolutely right! It's getting crazy out here in California haha. When I bought my current truck, they marked it up 3k over the kbb value. And they didn't want to budge on the price haha. I wonder which states have the best deals. I'm thinking maybe Arizona or Texas.
