    oh my lanta yesssssssssssss

I have no idea why the MTB community is so pro-IPA. Give this man an Amber.

I assume you'll put me on to something good local? was just going to pick some up when I got over there instead of hauling any.

planning to watch this right after my next meeting!

It’s not the solely MTB community, IPAs are just what’s trending in general these days.

You're definitely not alone. There are literally... dozens... of us MTB riders around the world who can't stand IPAs!

As for firewood, and @Bannerman may be able to confirm with the host, but they had an entire shed full of free wood on site last year.

The outdoor toilet thing is probably out of order for COVID, though. May want to invest in TP and a shovel. :D

Yeah I’m kind of on the border. I have a couple tools and batteries. At this point I either need to go all in on ryobi or switch haha. Does it last through the night?
I’m personally a fan of IPAs but I’ll drink anything. I’ll always drink corona or tecate haha

I’m in a similar boat. I like IPAs, liked them way before they got uber popularized. While I won’t ride the hate train, it is a little annoying that it’s almost a challenge to get something non-IPA these days.

I do enjoy a the Mexican brews and Shandys/Sours when it’s hot.

that's the biggest issue for me...go to any grocery store and there are 200+ IPAs or similar and only like 3 beers that I'm a fan of.

Honestly that’s what put me onto some of the sours. Just got tired of IPA/double IPA being pushed so hard.

Hell even stouts and porters seem to be limited these days.

Kitsuma is awesome. I would like to try to ride it from the bottom next time (where the road ride to the stop is at the start and not end of the ride).

Yeah they are everywhere, it’s kind of overwhelming. Tbh I’m a fan of the new “low calorie” IPAs and other pale ales. Super light with solid flavor. I’m not a huge double ipa fan. Some companies hit it too hard and went wayyy over the top.

I’ll also put back some hard seltzer...only issue is the hang over with some of those haha

Good question haha. I guess the main concern is lightning with that forecast

Personally I’m just going to hope the forecast mellows out. If it still looks like a shit show by next Thursday I’ll likely bow out and send @Bannerman the flow to cover my portion of the campsite.

I’m closing on my new house on the 17th and the closing for my current house is the 30th. My wife is pretty cool in that she’s still fine with me riding that weekend. But if it turns into full on rain, I have a good bit of things on the home front that need my attention as well and have a timeline to be competed.

I've learned that I fully do not enjoy riding in the rain, or on wet trails. Not only for the sake of not tearing up the trails, but it's just downright miserable too lol. I also feel like I'm guaranteed an injury if I'm riding trails like Kitsuma in the rain or when it's soaking wet..

maybe @Bannerman can speak more to how the weather affects the trails. around here, it takes a solid 48 dry hours for the trails really to be worth riding again after a good rain.
