Just did Fins N Things in Moab with my bed buildout and camper on. Was surprised at how well the truck did. Little top heavy, but was manageable. Spotted myself through the majority of the trail.

I was going to do Hells Revenge, but figured that’d be best with another person to spot.

Didn’t take a single picture minus this

    Looks like an awesome trip!

Hells Revenge has tons of by passes so it is pretty tame if you want it to be. I would recommend doing Top of the World trial!

Im all done with Moab trails this trip. Slow crawling isn’t my thing tbh, I just did it to say I did it.

I’d be down to do it with the Drifter off though.

Anyone with a swing out relocated their rear view camera to above the rear hatch door of the drifter? Ordered a rear HC that the swing out is removable, so relocating the camera to the swing out may not be the best idea. Just curious what others have done. Or just may leave it where it’s at, as I won’t really need the cam if the swing out is on, but ya know convenience...

Thanks dude. So that wasn’t your original oem camera? If not why did you choose that one over the oem one? Thanks

I have mine relocated to the swing out now, but do plan on moving it up above the hatch once I get my Drifter. I'd be curious to see pictures of what can be seen on the screen with it up that high.

    It's DLX son!
I extended the OEM camera wire harness (it's just regular wire not insulated like a RCA video cable). Was easy to pull the whole section out of the tailgate and do clean staggered splices on my workbench. Made a simple bracket to mount above the rear door of my GFC. Not a good picture, but way more useful mounted up high.

Nice, this is exactly what I need to do. Everyone is making these nice little kits that are relocate or plug & play but none apparently will work w/ the trucks like ours that display in the rear view instead of the head unit. I would like the ability to turn it on at any time though w/ a switch.

The only part of moving the cam up to the corner that I have been contemplating the best way to route the wiring. I was thinking of going thru the camper wall down the the drivers side rear panel and connecting to the molex plug

2013 problems. I actually prefer having the camera in the rear view.

What route did you go for getting the wires in to the bed of the truck?

Yeah I agree. I just wish I could flick it on at any time or have the ability to add a front camera into the same feed too. The mirror display is great in my opinion.

I am still working on a printed mount, but other projects have overtaken it. Probably going to go from an all-in-one with a couple floods to 3 pieces and put floods out near corners for coverage (and simplify the designs).

Working with planes at weird angles in Fusion 360 is hard.

I came out the square hole under the bed that the stock camera wiring goes through, and just ran the wire between the bed and tailgate. It's in loom and zip-tied out of the way to the passenger side bed stiffener and the corner of the camper.

    Should have done it sooner.
