Man, this season of Earth sucks. So many plot holes. Where did the murder hornets go? Why introduce them if they weren’t important to the story? :notsure:

Yup. I got one of these too. I was planning on making them murder hornets earn that moniker.

This sends hornets the opposite direction at 800 FPS. Makes a cool sound too.

Ever since the video of a Praying Mantis grabbing one and chewing it’s head off, they lost their illusion of invincibility.

As for the poll... a mask helps to confine your spittle so it lowers the transmissibility. If I was in a room full of people wearing masks, and I was wearing a mask, I would be mildly concerned. Depending on the location. Like a crowded waiting room in an emergency room in NYC? I don’t want to be there. A knitting course in Idaho? Not so concerned. If you’re at a spit party in NYC you’re in a high risk situation.

But....and please correct me if I'm wrong....to a relatively healthy person, isn't it just a (bad) case of the flu? I don't really worry about crowds during flu season so I kinda feel the same way about this.
Not trying to argue in the least, I just don't watch or read news so I'm not exposed to the hype.

Depends on how your body reacts to it. Lots of healthy people in my area got smoked.

We will only have all of the facts after all is said and done, but it looks like a) if your immune system is weak, it fails b) if your immune system jumps the gun too hard, it floods your lungs and you hydrolock.

in other words, I’m a diesel mechanic, don’t listen to me. But given the choice, I don’t want it. In NYC people (even healthy ones) dropped like flies. Truck loads of them. Which is not what typically happens during the flu.

I wasn't aware of this. I was under the impression it was only older/and or sick folks. Thanks for clarifying!

I try not to watch the news either, I have a face mask, I've worn it twice in Sams. I also don't go around licking things. I figure if it's my time, it's my time. Whatever.

Morning whatevs. Gonna be going home early today thanks to feeling like total garbage. No sore throat or fever, but I feel like I'm at super high altitude and having bad stomach pains along with muscle fatigue. Should be a fun day.

There’s an “at risk” spectrum, some people more than others, obviously the elderly and those with compromised immune systems are more likely to have a lower success rate. But still. Anyone can succumb to this. My perspective is that we’re all in this together. A face mask restrains the spits. I’ll gladly wear one for my countrymen (and women) for the time being, in unity there is strength, and so far we’ve mitigated the spread from out of control wildfire, to a handful of ground zeroes.

I think about the greatest generation and how they would see it. Everyone doing what they can to help, instead of politicizing. We’re the greatest country because we fuckin lock it in.
