vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

    I'm sorry, I'm so confused. I thought the ECU was specific to certain transmission types and year models? So my truck is a 6 speed manual transmission, does that 04B90 also go in auto transmission vehicles?

    Is there a tune pack for my manual transmission 04B90? I'm mainly looking for the added low end power and greatly improved throttle response, and maybe some of the weird deceleration engine braking changed. Other things would just be a bonus, like maybe one day E-locker in 2 wheel drive!(know about 2 wheel low mod, I just haven't decided to do it yet...)

    He was answering 2 diff questions. Yes the tunes are ecu specific.

    I believe the 2.0 2020 MT tunes are currently available in flash manager. Some vf tune packs have been sent out too

    Ok, thank you for the information! I was hoping to play with any available tune just to see the difference. As a new customer that has purchased vftuner and cable from OV Tune, am I available to download flash manger now and use it? Or do I need another registration key to pay for to get the example tunes?

    If you are a new customer does Flash manager require another key?

    I have VFTuner and my cable from OV Tune, I haven't purchased the tune pack yet.

    Thanks for looking into it. After I receive the master key I need to send the system ID for the reg file, correct? Do I then need to request the tune packs, or will they be immediately available in the software? I haven't had the opportunity to dig into this thing yet. (My ECU is 04B04)

    Should not need to, according to your tickets we sent the reg key on the 28th so you just need a vF master key and thats it.

    Hey Moondog... If you've had your vF registered and set up AND purchased a tune pack, you'll automatically have access to flash manager... Just download all the necessary components for it and download the 1.05 or 2.0 beta file you are interested in (depending on truck).

    I need to borrow a friend's laptop to do this work (I use a Mac). Will the software be locked to his laptop in a way that I can't install it on another laptop later?

    you can setup bootcamp and do it off your mac. bunch of us have

    software has a reg key which is tied to a computer.
