Hey everyone, i want to buy a tacoma and do full LT on it but can't seem to make a decision on which generation to buy. I love the 2nd Gen double cabs but i do like the first gen ones two. If anyone needs a copilot or something ill pitch in half for gas to take a ride in a LT truck offroad. Let me know and also on your opinions. Thank you. Oh ya i plan on doing the engage kit either way.

    I agree

In my opinion, the 2nd gen might not be as "rough" as the 1st gen (I had a 2001 TRD before this). The 1st gen is definitely a little tougher and MAYBE a little more off-road capable. Therefore, might be the way to go if it is just going to be a play truck.

However, my 2nd gen is DEFINITELY a capable truck and a hell of a lot of fun. It is also a lot more comfortable and "liveable." My friends all love that we can comfortably go out to downtown in it, plus go rip around on the weekends.

At least 10,000. And it depends who does the work. I know Tim at DMZ quoted me 11,000 just for the rear but he does awesome work. If I get another Tacoma it will be going there.

Roughly 12-14 from what I remember. The front end had the spindle, upgraded hardware and delrin bushings. Arp wheel studs. Allot of stupid shit you don't think of when you first do it
