Can you drive at highway speeds with all of the sides rolled up? Thinking of utilizing it on day trips to the beach and caging the pooch back there when he gets sandy.

Yes you can. Roll it up tight, secure it with the clips and you are good to go. Softoopers are awesome!! I love mine.

Yeah that would be cool, I actually just put on my tinted rear window not that long ago. It’s pretty dark. Dark enough where you can’t see in walking by but light enough to still see out of while driving :)

That looks awesome. I wish you could sub the regular window for it and add $20. I have no use for the clear one.

Funny thing is, I wasn’t going even get the tinted one when I went on to order a replacement clear window due to me scratching it, but then I saw the tinted window was an option and jumped all over it. I love it and it should come that way when you originally purchase it in my opinion anyway. :).
The mesh option is good to for the doggies. Good thing all the replacement parts for softtopper is really reasonably priced.

Thank you for the heads up! Mine has been getting cloudy and I was going to order a new one but after seeing the tinted one I went ahead and ordered one now.

I just wanted to update, I ordered the tinted back window right before I posted last time in this thread and just received the tinted back window. That was some super fast shipping. I just installed it in about 5 minutes and it's good as new again. I just have to keep my buddy away from it who tried to clean off the softopper window with a squeegee from a gas station lol.

I am going with clear for now but I may look at the tint or mesh in the future. If everything comes in I may do the safari roll up on a little trip to the beach.

I just tinted mine myself. Got the tint at Walmart for like 4$ I think. Easy to do on a flat table

That’s funny and the exact reason why I had to order a new rear tinted window. My clear window needed some serious cleaning one day so I tried at a gas station with the squeegee. Epic fail!! Scratched the crap out of it. Went home and ordered the new tinted one. Lesson learned. Now I’m on the opposite of the spectrum and use a feather duster which works wonders.

I have some plexus that I'm going to try on the new one. It didn't fix the old one though.

Yeah I’ve just learned to live with the fact that all plastic windows will eventually scratch. All I’m trying to prolong the inevitable with using a feather duster for now. I’ll get lazy one day and the scratches will appear lol. O well, life of a softtopper owner. Still wouldn’t trade or use anything else for my bed though :)

Under 100 bucks every few years for a new back window to make it look good isn't terrible. I didn't need to replace it but I'm a bit picky.

100 percent agree. After the initial 700-800 dollar hit to buy it new, all the replacement parts are very reasonably priced which is why I’m a customer for life.

My son loves his pulls a trailer and camps a lot down south. He puts his dogs in back when he travels with the windows rolled up. He has never had any problems and his dogs love it always have their heads sticking out.
