St Maxx on Trd pro wheels, mbrp exhaust, k&n cai, jba's, 887's over 5100's, medium dakars and 5125's.
Not sure how tall/wide you are but you will not regret the quieter cab/cab space, and who doesn’t like an interior upgrade?
I had a 99 back in 09, but heavily modded. As fun as it was I can’t imagine being back in that cab on the daily, and I’m pretty average at 6’1, 200lb. Since then I’ve had an 06’ and now the 15’. Loveeeeee the 2.5 gen.

I'm 6' about 175. The 04 is fine for picking up groceries. After about 3 hours is when it really starts to wear. If it weren't for the sound system I have in it, I wouldn't last on any longer trips:).

how many miles did you let go of your 09' with?

Also, I am calculating costs of all the stuff I will have to do to get this thing where I want it: does one of you have knowlege of the relation of tire sizing to wheel sizing? He is running LT 225/75R16. Will I need to get new wheels if I want to put 265/75/16's on it?

That’s a hell of a deal for that mileage and condition. Buy that for 15k and I bet you could sell your 1st gen for 8-10k if it’s in decent shape with only 130k miles on it. Or keep both of you have the means like others have suggested! I have that truck but a 13 and it runs great. Just take care of it with routine maintenance and it’ll take care of you

Thanks for the encouragement to go for it, y'all. Even though I will miss the hell out of my 1st gen, i think this is a deal that would be silly to pass up.

Also, he's got a pair of new Headstrong Off-road 3 leaf progressive add a leaf kit that he never installed that he is willing to throw in for a 100 bucks. How difficult is that installation? What are the advantages here over the stock leaf springs?

it was a 99, with a swapped 04’ engine, supercharged, 6 inch toytec lift, k&n cia, downy headers, magnaflow exhaust, 35’s of course...

I bought it in 09’ with 80k miles, added another 30k or so over the next 2.5 years.

I was 25, it was madness!

But like all these other folks are saying, you probably won’t find this deal again. I don’t know what it’s like down south, but here in Canada taco’s go for an absolute premium. Ironically 2 of my 3 taco’s have originated from down south :oldglory:

You got any pictures of that monster?

@PinktacoDM84 are you running the KO2's with a 2.7L? I am thinking of doing the same once this thing is in my driveway if I can find some on CL. How's your gas mileage?

Yep, pull the trigger and don't look back! You've already said it's uncomfortable after a 3 hr trip, it has more than twice the mileage, what's to think about?

B1315A2E-55AC-4452-8D4D-CE3EEB858B15.jpg I do have a few on my MacBook, oh memories....Will post when I get home.

4.0L. Ko2’s, stock size for now. Ko2’s are an incredibly well rated tire.
Gas mileage is amazing thanks to coronavirus lol. People always talk gas mileage but what really matters is how you drive. If you stamp on it then you’ll pay to do so. However I’m not sure how the mileage will be with a 2.7L.

I used to own a 5.7L titan, I don’t think about gas mileage anymore ;)

In Kentucky, that truck would not last a day on any lot at that price.

I'd hate to own a vehicke thst was that uncomfortable to drive. It would make ownership very unpleasant.

Sounds like the 2015 is more to your liking and comfort. I say if it all checks out with no issues....Go For It!!!!
