Dude, amen. With the amount of effort it took me finding this truck(having shipped from a different state), all the pictures I saved from its release to drool over, the little kid feeling picking it up from the harbor and driving it home, and of course all the fucking money I spent on it lol, I couldn’t see myself letting it go. If I’m offered a ridiculously stupid high offer for it, then I “may” consider it. But other than that, it’d have to be totaled for me to get rid of it *knock on wood*

Right?? Even if someone offered way too much or (heaven forbid) it got totaled, I can't think of any other vehicle I'd rather be driving every day.

    Every 3rd gen I pass I'm like

Same boat here....age and truck. I’m 46...some days feel 56!! And others feel 26. As far as my truck goes. I too traveled a state away for it. Have many tasteful expensive mods. I plan on driving it until I’m 86. I have been offered very good money for it.....twice. Ive turned it down both times....

I said that to my stepdad a couple weeks ago as I was buttoning my wheels back on in his driveway...just to find out I forgot my torque wrench at home and he didn’t know where his was. A little too ironic but luckily I only live a few miles away lol

Damn, that must have been pricey shipping across the ocean. Think I paid about a grand to have mine shipped from CO to ME when I got it a few years back. And they still managed to fuck up the windshield and something else along thew way

Every possible thing that could go wrong flooded my mind lol. It arrived in one piece and not a scratch to find. Shipping was about a hundred or two more than what you paid which I thought was reasonable. The salesman at Putnam Toyota has shipped a few vehicles over to the island before, knew what he was doing, kept me up-to-date on everything and reassured it was all going to be good

That’s really not bad. My friend has a little TR3 coming from Arizona right now and paid almost $1000.

I really lucked out. That sucks to hear about how you received yours though, I wouldn’t have imagined shit like that to happen other than a couple scratches. Putnam Toyota used Horizon Lines if that helps with any lessons. I’m oblivious on how things work within the mainland but I’d guess they transport vehicles either in those containers or that huge vehicle flat bed rack that counts as an Insane Stunt Bonus in GTA when launched off lol

It's insane right now -- 60% more cars moving compared to normal, and not many truckers available and willing to go. It took awhile to find a ride. Plus it's enclosed so that bumps the price too.

I went from the Chicagoland area where I live to Cedar Rapids, IA to get mine (4hrs). On my wife’s birthday no less (she’s a saint). I actually had an awesome deal worked out with a Toyota dealer in Indianapolis on a new 2015 TRD Pro 4Runner in inferno. I was gonna get it for 42k when they were all going for 46-47ish. A couple days before I was gonna go get it I found my manual Baja with only 11k miles.......I chose the Baja. It was tough though.....

I'm so damn picky with my vehicles I almost always travel to get them.

Tacoma: Flew to El Paso, TX, bought it and drove it home.
My wife's F-pace: bought it sight unseen from Tampa, FL, paid $1500 to have it shipped home.
Z: Flew to Phoenix, AZ, bought it and drove it home.

I had my Subaru shipped from Connecticut to Colorado for like $500 back in 2008.

And that’s getting all my attention now, no more money going into the taco until the Subaru is running strong!

Go to the Tacoma world express thread in the PNW. I bet you will be able to find a willing member to have the springs shipped to them in Washington and forward them to you if you cover the shipping costs.

Same here. I’m at 162k and could trade it in for a new TRD OR tomorrow. But why? I would want to drop another $5k in parts to get that truck up to where I would want it and just be in a newer truck with less miles. Until stuff starts breaking on this truck, what’s the point? Power seats?

But I also can’t stop scrolling through ads for 200 series LCs. Sooo...
