I have 2018 Tacoma ORDC. Seems the Taco Lean has gotten worse. What is the ideal solution? I also want to slightly lift the truck to have level stance. The tires are ready to get replaced & a slightly larger than stock size would be nice. Thanks everyone!

Take some air out of the 2 tires on the other side. Lol!

I’m sure if you search taco lean you will find a fix. Plenty of threads out there.

1/4" spacer on top of the driver's side shock/coil over. Generally speaking if do more than a 1/4" spacer your shock bolts won't be long enough. There are kits out there to change out those bolts. And when I say spacer I think they might be called top plates. I have the lean as well but also my springs are sagging in the front so I might replace everything.

Some aftermarket coilovers allow you to spin a threaded collar to adjust your ride height but I think that route might effect preload.

I am not opposed to spending $ if that is warranted. I came from a stage 2 WRX that provided so much. Traction, AWD, power, response, etc. I am almost 50 so mall crawler is not my goal. I want a truck that looks good from all angles. I also want to do some light off-roading, and have safety on the highway. This might be impossible?

all high end coilovers allow you to spin the collar to adjust ride height, it’s the preload adjustment. Depending on the type of springs you have, you may or may not notice.

tacomas from the 2nd and 3rd gen (2005-today) have more weight on the driver side of the vehicle. Battery, driver, fuel tank. Your driver side OEM spring is meant for a higher load to accommodate for this, but when you switch out suspension and replace the coils, they are not, so the truck can lean slightly towards the driver side. Usually 1/4-1/2”, if you have it, but not all trucks develop it. This is the taco lean. It’s also made worse by eating more tacos, so the name fits.

    That's hilarious.

Also, thank you. I learned a thing today.

    no problem.

the usual solutions are to add a 1/4” spacer on top of the driver side coilover (any suspension setup), set the driver side perch one step higher Than the passenger side on those types of coilovers (bilstein 5100, 6112, OME, Eibach...), or use the adjustable coilovers to fine tune the lift to be equal On both sides of the truck (Fox, King, etc...). Or you can go the easy way; do nothing and wait for it to develop. If it does, then figure it out.

I think it's ground turkey or vegan, even.
