I currently have an spacer lift from my ‘17 Tacoma. It has 3” rough country front spacers and 1.5” rear blocks. I recently traded the ‘17 SR5 for a ‘19 Off-road and wanted to lift this one as well but haven’t saved enough for the 2.5 front Fox coil overs, 2.0 rear Fox shocks and Icon 1.5 AAL. My question is should I buy the front shocks for now and put the blocks that I have already to obtain the lift or vise versa, buy the rear shocks and AAL and use the front spacers. Either way in a year I will put the Fox/Icon set up but wanted to get the truck lifted already. Just looking for opinions!

If it were me I’d get the front first, get the more expensive half out of the way first.

Or, you could just wait until you have everything.

If I HAD to split it up. I'd do fronts first.

When I got rid of my spacer lift. I installed 5100’s all around lifted front and had a 1.5” block In rear for a few weeks then installed rear aal. Not sure how long you have to wait. Imo do the front first aal can come later. At least front will be done right. Just my 2cents

Sweet, that’s what I figured because the front is what makes more of a difference. I just wondered because I’ve heard a lot of horror stories of people snapping or distorting their leafs because of using blocks. I’d only use for them about 6mo-1yr before doing the AAL. Any issues with your leafs after you switched?

No not at all. Also a 1.5” block will not ruin anything don’t even worry about it. I used wheelers off-road 1.5” aal. Ride is stiffer but I don’t mind. No complaints.
