Whenever I just start driving, it seems like once in a blue moon, water will start to speckle out in the middle of my windshield. Today it happened again, after not happening for maybe a month, and it did rain today while I was at work. But when I got in and started driving it home, it did it again within one minute of driving and going over some bumps and making my first stop. I think it started happening after I topped off my windshield wiper fluid about a month ago but seems to still happen. Could this be windshield wiper jet related or something else? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Also, I recently had some specks of water drip onto my passenger floorboard a few days ago, while the ac is running. I looked into this and it seems to be a common issue with the ac evaporator drain getting clogged, so I took a air compressor hose and pushed some air into the drain hose, and it seems to have gone away. I haven’t seen any water drips anymore. Could this also be related to the spritzing of the windshield, that happens occasionally?

Have you verified the moisture is coming from the nozzles? If not, it could be dew to coming off the hood. If it's an actually coming from the nozzles, your pump is probably turning on intermittently for some strange reason, or maybe you filled the reservoir so full, heat is causing expansion and pushing out the nozzles? Just some guesses.

AC moisture very likely unrelated, and most likely fixed. One tip: be very careful with compressed air, if you use too much pressure, with a good seal, and a bad clog, you can split the hose, or disconnect,,,,,, both of which could be somewhere you don't want to go. This happens with moon roof drains.

No I haven’t because it happens while driving only, but does seem to have a distinct pattern when it happens (more narrow at the bottom of the windshield, and fans out as it rises towards the top of the windshield). This is what makes me think that it isn’t water dew that’s sitting on the hood that I’m just not noticing. Idk... I realized I may have overfilled it after refilling the windshield fluid, so I made it a point to spray it a lot to lower the level, and opened the reservoir cap when it was hot outside to relieve potential pressure build up shortly after the first time I noticed this happening.

    Thanks for your help.

Do you have a sport hood? Mine collects water in the crevises and shoots it at my windshield while driving.

The trucks do this in the morn with either rain or dew. I’m 4 miles to work and it’ll do it the whole time until it dries out in the sun. Snow does the same thing after it warms up the hood. Only vehicle I’ve ever had that does it all the time. It’s like spits of water

Good! As long as it’s normal and not a minor issue that may become serious is what I mainly wanted to hear. Thanks for your input, Riotfunk!

Np. Think it’s from the thin sheet metal on the hood vibrating from driving. That’s my hypothesis. Just watch over the nose of the truck next time it’s happening. Should be able to watch it sprinkle from your hood
