    well I have to wire the connectors. it's basically a 55' extension cable.

    well I have a bad ITRE and a torn rack boot..which is probably why the ITRE is bad. So gotta fix that.

    Im considering just plating the coil bucket instead of doing the coilbucket gussets.

    Having done the gussets on Mike's truck @Digiratus, I wouldn't do them on mine. They are a bigger pain than they are worth (make all kinds of access harder), and don't do much for the most vulnerable area (the top).

    Then just plate the sides and tie into it it would do a better job honestly. I don't quite get the point of doing a double shear on the UCA unless it's a Heimed setup.


    Figure that then adding a cross bar hopefully with the DD kit I have and i'll be good. Probably honestly just the cross brace and plating the sides would be good but idk when I'll have the tube bender up and working. Have to wait for more space for that thing.

    The TC gussets definitely add stiffness to the coil bucket but probably wont help with the metal fatigue issues we have seen with the top of the bucket if that is what you are most worried about.

    The real value of the eimkieth top plate will be to support the 3 mounting points for the CO on top of the coil bucket, to keep them from tearing. It by itself will do nothing for the top edges of the bucket, and may actually transfer some of the stress to the top edges. Plating down the sides and back, tied into that top plate, IMO, would help a lot to prevent what happened to the redhead.

    The vertical bolt is annoying but not horrible. The awful part is undoing the lines with the 1/2" of space you have

    It's a pain to pull but not horid. The hydralic lines can be very hard though and possibly the flex joint too.

    Getting the spline out of the rag joint can be a bitch and a half. We tried like three different methods of beating on it with Mike’s truck. If you’re going to do it soon, I’d suggest start hitting it with penetrating oil now.

    You've already done the bolts with the LCA replacements so your good there.

    I have no experience with aftermarket racks, but it seems like others that have tried rack doctors and those have not had good luck.

    I’m sure you can get all the seals, I’ve done the rack guide before so I know that’s available. Not sure about the shaft itself, if that has wear on it for some reason. Sounds like if yours is just leaking it might only need new seals.

    Hope it works out. Haven't read hardly anything good about reman racks. It's too bad you can't get an OEM one sans ITRE because those damn things are half the cost haha

    Add a cooler for it as well will help a ton. I have one I've been meaning to add.
