Backing out of my parking spot and my tire caves in. I get out and see my front right side control arm has basically snapped off on both ends.

Stuck out here in Vegas and I guess I’ll have to wait on a new part for the time being. Sucks. Now it’s just sitting in the parking spot until tomorrow when I try to figure out what to do. They’ve only been on since April.

It's difficult to tell from the picture, but it looks like your UCA bolt sheared causing the UCA to become detached from the truck, not the control arm itself failed.

What did you torque the nut on the control arm bolt?

Update: Looks like the nut came off and the bolt backed out.

Yep, looks like no fault of Camburg at all.

Either installation/user error (not torqued, not checked after install, not appropriate thread cleaning/locking)

OE just a failed UCA bolt (unlikely).

Yeah, after more thought and inspection it doesn’t look like camburgs fault. It looks like the bolt. I had a shop put them on. They didn’t get torqued down after driving for awhile and I’ve put about 1000 miles on them.

Call the shop and have them fix it. They fucked up the install, it’s their issue to resolve.

Thing is I’m about 570 miles away from the shop.

Should of mentioned they got put on in the Bay Area, CA. Took a road trip and this happens far from home.

And for those people that say, “Don’t put the bolt in backwards, because if the nut comes off, gravity will make the bolt slide out”, You just proved it doesn’t matter.

Haha, new to the truck world. First time this has happened so I wasn’t sure if it was the arm or the bolt. At this point I’m not sure what the correct remedy would be.

The bolts not broken. The nut backed off. The right side busing backed out. That allowed the left side to slip off. Two washers, a new nut, and 30 minutes and it's driveable.
