I have a 2001 sr5 v6 4x4 with 270k and I loooove it. I’m 6’ so not quite 6’5” like you. I’m about to do the valve cover gaskets but other Than that just keep up on fluids and other little things.

I agree. Both of mine are ext cabs. My stock 04 is a auto and my lifted 04 is a 5sp. I prefer driving the manual.

When it comes to offroading I prefer my trusty but rusty 3xlocked Landcruiser beater. Nothing like a solid axle yota.

I paid 11k for my 03 DCSB TRD with 74k miles with a salvage title. But it’s clean as a whistle and it was totaled on a 50 dollar difference between the insurance estimated repair and fix values.. I plan on keeping it so I figured I’d gladly take the salvage title if the real world numbers of why it was salvaged saved me probably 5-6k.

Smart shopper. Especially if you know what the pre repair damage was and were able to watch it be repaired. Sometimes airbags and a broken windshield will total a vehicle that just needs a new bumper cover...........

Depends on your body shape. Torso length vs inseam, shoulder breadth, girth, etc. So unless you post precise dimensions, and someone else has the same, with the same vehicle, your best bet is to go try one on. And don't just sit in it. Take a decent ride.

Then between us we average 3.5! :D

I'm 6'. Seat all the way back and I feel crowded at times. Maybe double cab has more leg room. I don't know.

I'm a big guy as you can see and my 1st gens fit me great. My dad is bigger, 6'5" 300lbs and he complains everytime he gets in & out of my Tacoma. But most vehicles don't fit him very well lol.

if your 3rd gen hood is/was anything like a 2nd gen hood be prepared to be riding so close with that road surface right in your eyeball in the 1st gen, unless its tricked out with some lift then idk what i am talking about lol

I was just about to say something similar.

I met a guy in Arkansas that’s 6’5” but super long torso and very short legs.
He was committed to buying a Toyota but the only thing he fits in is a Tundra or a Sienna mini van.

    So, he bought a Tundra.

I'm 6' 2" and fit my 5 lug single cab bench seat just fine, but if you could recline the seat a bit it would be perfect. But a ext cab with buckets would be fine. Honestly just find one and sit in it lol

Im 6’ also, and have the seat all the way back. In my double cab, I def don’t like riding in my truck more than 3 hours lol, maybe it’s the seat/lumbar support or lack of IDK but I wouldn’t call it a comfortable cruiser lol

Agreed, I feel the seat cushion bottom portion could be a tad longer. Wish it met the back of my knees. Needs a tad more support in this area for long distance drives.

i recently made a 12 hour trek to Chicago in one day (about 500 miles) did not have much issues other than my left leg cramping shifting gears or not, I used a combo of cruise control when my legs needed to stretch under the pedals and drove sock footed, no shoes, probably the whole distance for more foot room!
the legs start cramping getting older and can 'barely' make it anymore on a full tank (350 miles) on the LT haul without having to stop and take restbreak & walk around lol

your lubar support should be adjustable? is it powered?
