Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

for me the new 2.0 has been good aside from the start up burp.
19800 gave me some issues towing- at 3500 rpm it would hit the rev limiter. it was weird. real weird.

it boggles me how tunes respond differently to each ecu. makes no sense,
yet it does it.

 

My nuggets are telling me the 2021's will release and they will have more problems than the 19's so an all ecu release will be delayed until that gets worked out right in time for the 2022 release. Is it Friday yet.

 

I drove around for a day with it out. Dealer told me not to run it hard and it’s been about 30k since and no issues.
Got the plug and wires from Napa for $40. Dealer wanted $150. It took me about 2 hrs from start to finish to pull the intake and repair the wire properly.

And x2 for peppermint oil.

How great would it be if the nuggets were going full tingle for a pre-weekend 2.0 release!?

I know... there's no official release date, and updates usually happen on Sundays; but a guy's tingly nuggets can dream, can't they?

I just wrapped up the repair. $40 for the plug and wires. Now for some peppermint oil...

Not at this time. Files are completed per Mat but pending upload and encryption etc etc. I'd check back Sunday evening or so and see. Most of the time releases are on Sunday. So if not this one. Perhaps the next.

 

I thought peppermint was for gearlock. Damn it, now I'm confused
