Almost Perfect Hood Swap

I'm definitely content with the swap. Color is a slight shade lighter but not enough to bother me.

 

Well if it’s good enough for you guys, it’s good enough for me. I’m gonna rock the two tone paint job like it was planned.

 

We have a sport defector among us.

 

I haven't thought to look at the 3rd gen Tacomas, but when I worked at a bodyshop about ten years ago, if you back off the bolts that hold the latch in place, just crack them loose and close the hood. It should wiggle the latch enough to make it close and open easier. If the "female" side of the latch isn't adjustable, get a paint marker, put it all over the latch and close, where the "male" side on the hood rubs it off, adjust it away from the paint.
