I guess I assumed it would sell where I set the damn thing. Guess that isn’t always the case.

Remember that a stop loss, when triggered, issues a market order - So when NRGU opened at 4.50 your stop triggered, and apparently the market order filled at that price.

Had you had a stop-limit set then it'd not have been a market order and may or may not have filled depending on the limit price.

When there's potential of high volatility swings, I'd use stop limits - realizing there's the risk of not getting out.

You’re def not alone. Took me awhile to realize to never execute a market buy or sell during market pre/after hours because the price usually opens very low and then rises. If I cant get to my app during the day, I use stop-limit orders

I am filling my order for 1100 shares of NRGU @$4.75 slowly pre-market. I'm looking at the Big 10 and they are all 5-10% green on decent volume pre. I'm hoping it hits $6 today :)

Remember with the stop losses there are no fees for trades so you can set stop losses in groups of 10 shares if you want $.10 apart. I really can't explain to you how amazing it is that I don't have to pay seven dollars in & seven dollars out for trades anymore. As much of a piece of shit of operating platform Robin Hood is it liberated all of the other trading platforms.

Yes it is, and it’s probably because I’m buying today. I can give you guys my paycheck schedule so you’ll know when the market is going up. It’s like clockwork.

If you could also let me know the day before where that money is being invested, I’d like to make sure I pick up the correct stocks before you make them go up

What broker's make on trading fees is(was) peanuts to what they make on aftermarket sweeps. What most people don't realize is that the money in your account get's moved to the brokers account as soon as market closes. That money is traded in foreign markets and futures then returned to your account before open. Brokers are not loosing money. lol

It's a little late, but today the money will be spread between AVGO, GIS, TGT, WMT, and maybe a few others after I see what's left.

OK game on. Bar is open. Now as long as people see this is a buying opportunity and not as a chance to take profits on the buys they made at the end of the day yesterday we should see a pretty nice green run today.

Even with profit taking at day's end this stays green. The amount of volume and lot sizes moving right now is not from RobinHood traders. I got in on VXX July $35 puts but missed NVDA. It shot up $15 at open on HUGE volume.

I bought 4 of the $30 17 Jul for $1.49. I think it will settle below $30. $35 knock wood seems like free money.

Yeah. Premium for $35 was more but the delta is better and the return will be quicker. I plan to be out in 2 weeks.
