    Don't be mad when I blow the doors off you with my 2.8 pulley with your loud non meth injected 2.3 pulley on the track.

    It's all about efficiency boys. I want you guys to understand that, as funny as the jokes are about the larger pulleys, it's all about staying in the proper zone and the smaller pulleys take you out of that zone.

    @loginfailed i emailed nate at smoothflow and he knew exactly what to send. I believe their is a hub unique to our truck that he makes with the correct offset.

    On the ultragauge, there are warning limits for all sorts of readings, and sensors. They are also adjustable and silenceable.

    For example, I have my coolant temp warning set to 216°F if it alarms, then I start monitoring it. My IAT is set to 160°F.

    Speed can be set to whatever as well, but comes preset I think.

    If you want to do the speed calculations, 35" KO2, with OEM gearing. 4th gear pull to redline.

    This is how I have felt all along. Whether you want to call it efficiency or reliability. I obviously didn’t have the knowledge on paper to back it up. However, knowing mechanically how things work in that the smaller you go creates more heat, presumably shortens the lifespan due to wear, and overall just leaves you vulnerable to more issues. I have believed going a little smaller was/is safe due to the rich TRD tune and now hp/ovtune but over doing it would just be skating on thin ice so to speak. 2.7 has felt great. It does everything I need, is efficient I believe and definitely keeps it reliable.

    Dam, I can't ever keep up with ya'll on this page. I will say that I swapped back to a 2.6 from the 2.3. Might have lost some responsiveness but feels the same when stepping on it to redline. Datalogs seemed to show a little less air being moved but maybe it being colder air negates that there is less of it. Need to comb over the data logs if I ever find the time.

    It takes me approximately 10 seconds to get from 50-90 mph with the 2.8 pulley.

    It takes me 10 seconds to make it from 60-90 mph with the 2.3 pulley.

    For those who don't believe me you can check my recent prior video postings, but 10 mph gained and lost is quite a bit of a difference.

    I think we all need to calm the larger pulley talk down for a minute. There is a huge difference between someone running full cats and someone running catless. Also, you need to consider the operating range in relation to the efficiency chart. How much driving do you do at above 5,500 rpm?

    Once @12TRDTacoma figures out how to add them long tube equal lengths into the equation we're going to be back down in 2.3 town. If you're going keep the stock manifolds, then I think you're on the right track for you.

    For everyone, design how you're going to use and operate the vehicle. Keep in mind the RPM band you use regularly and target that. Don't get caught up in peak HP figures.
