So did you mount the Bracketeer to the rails? Any issues with clearance if you move the seat all the way up?

 

This is cool. We'll need photos.. I wish something like this was a factory option. I've noticed that mirror turn signals visible from the rear are very noticeable, especially when you're trying to change lanes.

 

I've been staring at my suspension parts for two weeks now. They're torturing me.

 

I mounted my bracketeer to the rails, and my seat will still go forward sufficiently that my 5'6" wife is comfortable to drive. The seat will not go al the way forward if you mount to the rails. In that case, I would recommend mounting it to the front seat rail bolts.

 

I tried it on the rail bolts, but then the tabs stuck up and it would have easily ripped off the wiring harness if a shorter person moved the seat all the way up. I think I can get it to work by using the rails and divorcing my wife

Yes, will do. Aside from being a cool feature I think they are helpful when towing something that might block your signals on the vehicle or trailer.

Rail mounted: the bracket interferes with the harness.

Bolt mounted: the tabs interfere with the harness. I suppose I could cut those off but even with a rough fitting, it's not that great as the extinguisher hangs out over the mat and gets kicked around.

Not to hijack the thread but what are other folks doing with their Element/Bracketeer mounts? Guess I'd better go chase down my wife and tell her I was only kidding about the divorce part...
