Looks like a lot of fun. Heavy rains this year are making the white water folks happy.

C'mon over.. I would take the blue (more scenic) route to Cass. Then meet up at Byrds. I need to get my ass out in the garage and finish the hundy build. Work has been a lot of weekends lately. September would be a good time since it won't be so hot and humid. This high humidity shit will be a shock to someone from the west.

Oh the humidity and I go far back, all the way to my roots growing up on the beach of Virginia Beach.
Still doesn't make it any more pleasant though. :D
But hey with good fun, good scenery, good vehicles, good people..... Some of that devil's humidity can't hold me down from having a good time with all that other good stuff involved! :D:cool:

This Southern Cruiser Crawl is big event in Hot Springs. A number people/vendors from out west come in for this one. I think it had like 170 vehicles last year. Its a big Yota/Cruiser party.

Easy drive, did it 3 times.

The shitty part is the first 15-20 hours, because it's flat and boring.

Watch for state troopers as well; got pulled over for speeding but the guy was cool enough to just let me go. Speed limit was 80? And I had it on cruise control for 95 or so

The ol tundra and sustained 85+ doesn’t happen, it’ll get there quick and stay there, but the wind and shit really kill the gas mileage to nothing.

this will be a 75 mph max trip with cruiser control (something that the truck didn’t have till I added it!)

I’m still trying to locate a factory left front axle for the thing, the Napa axle binds up easily compared to the oe

How bad does it bind it? What are you seeing with the binds when it does it.

My brother and his wife's side of the family are all in the Ozarks right now, I forget which part specifically but I think more toward Missouri.

All my extended family is from MO and we used to go there at least 2 - 3 times a year growing up, I remember the midwest humidity well in the summer. Nooo thanks

Running 4x4 up in the air to diagnose a noise is when I noticed it. You can hear the popping at full droop. Or turning. It’s mostly because of the lift and the Napa axle not being the same design as oem
The oem axles are double birfields. The Napa ones are a birfield on the outer joint and a tulip on the inner joint

Hmm yeah that's probably even further north than we're going tomorrow, I think where we're going to be at is still considered Ventura county cause the campgrounds are open. They just opened up all of LA county campgrounds/parks today too

Gotta get my RTT back on tonight, fuck. Rear of my truck is like 2" higher than it was before the Alcans now too lol. I'm borderline stinkbuggin

And here I took my RTT off less than a week ago specifically for wheeling; I got some rake back but not stinkbug..
