255/80r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers with SCS BR6s and 6112s on the 5th setting.

Depending on the height you choose for your 6112s, the 265s may look a bit small.

    255/80-17 huh?
How do you like the ride? 8.5” wheel? It sits taller by like 1/2” over the 285/70 but offers less rubbing ?

    setting 5 all around?
    Anything in the rear?

Method 702's, BFG KO2's 285/70/R17, Fox 2.5's front, 2.0's rear, Camburg Performance Uniball UCA's with a 3" lift. However, some pretty good rub (sharp turns) when the truck has gear/people. Dropping down to 275/70/R17.

I love this setup. It rides much better than stock, no rubbing at all and I still get 19mpgs.

I have both of the 6112s on the fifth setting with a spacer on the driver side. The rear has a 1.5” AAL.

I will essentially have the same set up
    6112/5160 setting 5/6
    1.5 AAL
What about UCAs? I ordered SPC just to be safe.
    17x8.5 wheel -12mm off set and 4.28BS.
The only thing I need to pin down are tires.
I was planning on a 285/70-17 Duratrac or Nitto RG.

but taking up more wheel well space, sitting a bit higher and better snow traction (pizza cutters) might change my mind.

how is the ride? Do they drift at all. The make KM3 in that size too.

    • Eicbach pro lift kit, 2-2.5 inch lift
    • ProComp 17x8.5 wheels w/4.75” backspace
    • BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 DT LT285/70 R17
Wheels were the least expensive that were available and would last through some rough 4 wheeling. They’re wheels and looks won’t change the performance of the truck. KO2 were not my first choice – however the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W were not going to be available for a month.

I kept the factory UCAs as mine aligned fine and drives prefect. I had no reason to waste the time with the money installing new UCAs.

The tires ride perfect. I’m not sure what you mean when you ask if they drift but with these tires and suspension set up it’s far more responsive than it was from the factory. 255s on a 8.5” wheel really are not as skinny as people make them out to be. They are about the same width as a factory off-road tires, just a bit taller.
