Nothing close to my point. I have been to the same Corvette and Chevy and Ford factories, Harley Davidson, Boeing, United Launch Alliance, Martin Marietta and a ton other non automobile or aircraft related as well. Still not the point. Not saying irrelevant. To the contrary I’d say they may be the most important. I’d just say the American dream for most would be to open your own business, on your own terms, being your own boss and being self made so to speak. Working hard, sacrificing your comfortability and with a lil risk involved as well. Wasn't dissing on automobile factory workers, just saying that’s probably not most peoples “dream”. Not many kids dream of working at a factory when growing up. Not dissing on Texas (I just don’t want to move there lol) for all the hyper sensitive out there either. There’s not many false statements going on here. Just opinions. Why all these false narratives are being followed and made up is sorta funny. :rofl:no more comments on silly semantics please, that way I dont have to respond to such silliness :p:D
    :argue: ok bye now

Ditto on that as well, I have a brother who is on his 2nd Subbie, the first had over 500,000kms (320,000 miles), and he is close to 250,000kms on his “new” one. Absolutely no drivetrain problems at all, amazing for an AWD system. Porsche boxer engines are also very reliable.

Buy a 2010 Subaru Forrester, and see how long the junker engine lasts, burns 5qts of oil every month with less than 40k on it,they are so badly built that Subaru now has a terrible reputation.

My experience has been quite different, I personally know people that work in the SA plant. Contrary to your opinion, the great majority are very proud to work there and they are very engaged in their jobs. They have a personal commitment to making the best product possible. They have “drank the koolaid”, so to speak. Laugh if you want, but when I bought my Tacoma, I wanted the Texas build partly in support of the people that work there, and in support of the Texas automotive industry. I also felt confident that I would get a well built truck, so far that has been true. We now have 3 Toyota vehicles in our stable, ranging from 5 yrs old to months old. All have been extremely reliable, and I am fairly confident that the Taco will be the same.

I bought my wife a 2015 Outback (she had a 2003 Outback before that) and we've had no trouble whatsoever. It sounds like you had a bad experience with a Subaru; it happens.

Fortunately, you have a Tacoma now. ;)

The weird thing is , we've never had any issues (currently own a 2015 and 2018) with our Subarus and the many Subaru owners I know (over 15) have never had this problem or even heard about it and I've gone out of my way to ask about oil issues. We've had Subarus since 2003, and other than recalls done while in for an oil change there has never been a failure of any kind out of the 9 we've had in our family. Subarus hold their value to the point you never buy used unless you have bad credit, and the Inventory turns over quickly. I prefer Mazda but for snow Subaru is the best thing under 40K currently sold. Honda and BMW don't make a car engine with a flat layout, only motorcycle engines.

I agree with almost everything said in this thread and your statement. Except for not caring about Mexicanso_O( not your statement)
My truck was built in Texas as well and was a reason why I purchased. They SHOULD be proud of their jobs, hard work, and attention to detail, otherwise all of us wouldn’t own Tacoma’s in the first place.
Once again the point was that dreams are typically lofty, i.e. -millionaire, movie star, business owner, doctor, lawyer, etc. not necessarily a factory worker. If you can find a kid that dreams that, then I’d say WOWo_O My opinion has nothing to do with how proud they are or how hard they work or the commitment involved:thumbsup: those are givens already and are implicated with the quality of our trucks and it shows obviously.
    :annoyed:
nothing against or wrong with being a factory worker. They are the backbone of most everything we do:D I have owned a Toyota truck for over 20 years now, wife is on the third Highlander and daughter drives the old one. My 01 taco has 225000 on it and is the most reliable thing I’ve ever owned in my life.

Please no more comments making assumptions of how I think. Or trying to prove a point that I already agree with. Not trying to be a dick or anything but let’s comment on something I actually said and not what you comprehended me saying.
I promise, I’m done with this silly argument or conversation or whatever this is. Yes I know TLTR

Exactly correct. Both my FJ Cruiser and 4Runner are waiting for the new revised fuel pumps and they were both built in Japan.
