Hey guys, new member here for the standard web-forum introduction :p

I just bought a 2007 Tacoma last night, it is a double cab, TRD off-road, totally blacked out. This is my first Tacoma and even first Toyota, so I have no idea what to expect or watch out for.

From the looks of the truck, several of the mods look like they came directly from this site, so I'm guessing it previously belonged to a forum member. I will be making a post in the Taco Gen2 forum in hopes the original owner can give me some info and background on it.

Welcome from NJ! If you haven't figured it out yet, you'll soon realize that you don't want to drive anything else other than a Tacoma for the rest of your life.lol That's what happened to me.

Ok, best guess for what your asking is: off-road or on-road?

If that's the case, the answer is it will be my winter time DD, but I'm always up for some casual off-road fun. Might be more interested if I find other owners or trails near me to have some fun with. My trade in was a Jeep grand cherokee that I had plenty of fun in when I lived in Alaska (bought it in 02, left Alaska in 05).

I'm afraid I'm going to be told I got ripped off, but the answer is... $16995 :(. I got them to go up $1k on the offer from my old beat up jeep GC, and I couldn't get them to budge on the price of the Taco... though they had it stickered on the lot at $19995, so I'm guessing the $16995 was their bottom dollar price. They even told me the reserve on that auction was the BiN price (ugh, nobody understand how reserves are supposed to work, oh well).

The key was all the mods, which I totally love. I HATE chrome and I think most decals look awful. Even my vette has had several of the badges professionally removed (the GM ones) and has the gun metal painted rims. All mods are very tasteful and it had the exact look I like to see on a truck (ie. not flashy in any way).

Other than that, it was how well it looked like it had been cared for, I'm guessing the guy Lived in MD near PA (it was bought in PA) and drove to the DC area for work.
