I recently had an Eibach pro lift with a @HeadStrong Off-Road progressive 3-AAL installed. As it turns out the shop that did it didn’t really know what he was doing and messed up the front twice. After getting the front resolved it’s still squeaking out back and getting worse. Today I noticed this, that’s the factory clamp that’s supposed to be ground off, right?

I'd call HS to be sure, but looks like they may be installed backwards. I have the same aal and mine don't look like that.

Also you saying they messed up the front twice makes me more than suspicious about the proper orientation.

    That is installed backwards.

Correct, that needs to be chopped off. This is why I really don't like progressive AAL. They're a PITA to install.

The clamps on my HS aals were no where near any of the stock clamps.

For reference this is what happened in the front Eibach pro lift kit

When he “fixed” it he installed the spring perch upside down so I have zero faith in anything beyond a state inspection lol

Headstrong revised their AAL recently, mine is the old version. I bought them about a year ago and sat on them for a while. I have clamps at both ends and the long side is towards the back, which I believe is correct. I think the issue is with the end/friction pad being installed right over the factory clamp which should have been ground off.

I have clamps at both ends too. The only cutting I had to do was on the HS clamp that made contact with my fuel tank during hard off roading. You might want to check that too.

Is the distance (front to back) between the AAL pad and the factory pad on the leaf above roughly the same on the front end of the pack as it is on the rear?

Interesting. I expected a bigger difference, which might indicate it was installed backwards. But it looks like you'd actually have the same issue either way

What I notice is that you'll need new leaf packs in a year or so.

And I'd be inspecting, cleaning and fluid-filming the frame if it looks anything like the leaves in the photo.

I’d rather not, it’s a small mom and pop garage in a small town. He’s a nice guy, but I guess he didn’t know wtf he was doing.
