    Yea I've told 3 dealers that and none of them will share the invoice with me. Maybe the market is different here in GA but all of the dealers are claiming short supply and still a strong demand so they don't have to come off the price. I know supply is short, not sure on demand. Its probably a tactic to see if I would cave, but I'm holding out.

    They're full of shit. If the supply was low and demand high they wouldn't be dropping prices. They took $6k off of MSRP for me in GA.

    I don't think there's much doubt that supply is short relative to a "normal"cycle. I would agree that claiming high demand may be dubious, but I also don't think demand is way low either. Once they took away 0% financing, it appeared based on my daily car guru search that sales have slowed down a bit. In my opinion, if you don't absolutely need a truck right now, waiting should yield better deals once the factory is spitting out trucks.

    No, it was a 2016. The deal I got for the 2020 was $35.4k otd so I decided to get a really clean low mileage 2016 for $28k otd instead.

    Hi all, looking at a 2020 TRD OFRD, DCSB, Tech + OFRD PRM in AZ and here is a deal I'm working up.

    MSRP: $36,965
    Factory Options: $7,361 -> $6,984 (no floor matts/mud guards)
    Delivery: $1,120
    Total MSRP: $45,069

    SW Cash Back: -$1,750
    Discount negotiated through employer: -$4,410
    Total: 13.5% off Total MSRP (or do I calculate off of base MSRP?)

    Doc Fee: $487 -> $100
    Dealer Crap: $995 -> $0 (Nitrogen, Automate, Edge Guards, Tint)
    TTT: $682.85
    Tax: $3,469.56

    OTD: $43,161.41

    Data from TW shows that this vehicle invoice is a bit over $34k. Anyone think I can push this deal more? Planning to negotiate throw away trade with KBB, Black Book, as well as a few current listings for the same year/make/model in the local area.

    Mine was almost the same MSRP as yours and it was $45.5k OTD so that's not too bad

    I got a truck just like this about 2 months ago. Ended up paying just over 41k OTD, so I think you have a bit of wiggle room. Plus I got the upgraded LED headlights, not sure if you care.

    I forgot to add it has the LED lights. I think I may also pay a little less in taxes based on the trade.

    Yeah, that’s good. Especially if you’re saying that you got them to take the document fee off which almost never happens to the count that as part of the discount if you’re not already. Also, assuming that you got all the dealer crap but didn’t have to pay for it then even though it’s grossly overpriced, there is value there. I for example would walk out the door and be putting tint on it immediately so that’s saving you $200 out of your pocket.

    Before deciding if it's a good deal, I would request the money factor (MF) the dealer used for this quote and then calculate the % residual. When doing leases, negotiating the sales price is important, but verifying the money factor and residual is just as important. A good reference is going to the Edmunds 2020 Tacoma Lease Deal forum page and requesting the MF and residual for your area. You will then see if your being ripped off on the MF or residual which is equivalent to APR if purchasing. The MF and residual are negotiable in a lease.
    Personally I wouldn't put $2k down on a lease. It will bring your lease payments down roughly $40 a month, but since it's a lease you lose that money since you won't be owning the vehicle. Quickly, if you multiply the roughly $40 monthly savings times the length of the lease (36), that is $1440. So by just paying the extra $40 per month, you'll save $560 over the length of the lease. I know the math isn't exact, but you get the point.

    What do you guys think about this deal. It is on a white 2020 trd off road with predator steps, black out package, and mud flaps.

    I just purchased the TRD off road and if memory serves me correct the MRSP was $38,467. I paid $34,600 out the door.

    hi,
    Looking to buy two trucks (me & relative): 2020 RS5, double cab, 4x4, 5' bed and same truck or TRD with 6' bed.
    I'm in NE PA and wonder what others are paying for similar config today.
