I'm not sure how people here feel about self promotion, but if its not ok, I'll edit this, but my handle is Strength. And

its still pretty new, just started it a couple weeks ago, so I'm kind of finding my footing and direction with this non-personal IG thing.

That's totally fair. I've always enjoyed strength training by itself, its one of my favorite activities/hobbies on its own. So it makes sense to train both for strength and to support my other physical hobbies. If riding is your passion, get at it! (just know that strength training will totally help you get faster!) ..but if you don't enjoy it to some degree, then its going to be difficult to stick to, and ultimately pointless for you.

You can get shredded on "prison workouts", no elaborate equipment needed

Thats always been my downfall. I just cant stay with the gym stuff due to lack of interest, so i go with what has been showing results for me while also being stimulating.

Yeah I’ll probably get kettlebells eventually haha. Probably not this summer at this point. My main thing is coming up with a plan. When it comes to working out I get super side tracked if I don’t have a solid long term plan

being on a program absolutely helps. I always get better results and progress when I'm on a program versus just farting around.

Same here. I was doing the Sufferfest all winter and that was super easy to stick with between the trainer, bodyweight, and yoga. But when it comes to developing plans I don’t know what I’m doing. One of my friends is a trainer and was down to build me a cycling specific plan but I never took him up on the offer haha

My ‘programming’ honestly consists of determining the workout/rep scheme for the given day haha. These days I just shoot from the hip as I’m only aiming for overall fitness.

@113tac you don’t need much space or equipment. Tons can be accomplished with body weight, or everyday objects. Here’s my super modest home setup (pardon the boxes and junk, we’re moving). Behind all the shit are a few dumbbells of various weights, couple kettlebells, and a couple hundred pounds of bumper plates.

Yes I do and I’m always down to try new things.

I saw your other post about trying to become an instainfluencer and the only thing I ask is what makes you any different than all the brads and chads doing the same exact thing? I say this not in jest but it is a serious question. Do you have a strategy to be different and make a living at the same time?

I'm not approaching this from a bro/personal trainer standpoint. I'm a licensed orthopedic physical therapy assistant, so I'm looking at this from a pain and injury prevention perspective. So a lot of my info is geared more towards strengthening to not only improve performance, but avoid chronic pains and acute injury in action sports, incorporating my rehab and orthopedic experience, and my classic strength training and powerlifting as well.

That's kind of how I'm thinking of it, but Like I said I'm new to all of the IG influencer stuff, so I'm still finding my footing and direction with it all.

I'd also add that I have a BS in biochemistry, and I got my PTA training through the Air Force, so I definitely think I'm more knowledgeable and educated in training and biomechanics than most Brad's/Chad's/bro trainers with whatever cert they have.

The PTs in the Army/Navy are unlicensed veterinarians at best!

My interactions with AF medical professionals has been nothing but outstanding. I actually go see one that I met on the trail at the AF Academy.

Thats good news on your strategy. Pinkbike was running a few articles that had some good info on "maintaining" but little on recovery if my memory serves me correctly. Good luck with your future endeavor!

No, it's for sure bent. The square doesn't quite reach the hitch.
