This is showing testing has remained relatively stable. So which is it? Increase in testing is reason for increase in cases? Or reopening/protesters making the case numbers rise?

The whole protest thing is annoying because now we don't know for sure how much of an effect the reopening is having

 

I was listening to Texas Public Radio last night. They said that the spike going on here lines up with our reopening and memorial day weekend. They said it will be a couple more weeks before they will start to see cases from the protests.

 

tickle me pink. That said those only go back to about may when we were starting to reopen. I’ll see if I can dig up metrics later going back to early April, when we started testing. And then at that, I want to also see if I can find number of positive cases per test. But if testing is staying relatively stable then I guess it would just be increase in cases. But then you also have the number of people who were denied testing way back when, reserved for nurses etc, and whole bunch of stuff. There’s so much unknowns with this still.

yeah, but there’s a significant thing here. People are learning that just to even enjoy life for a weekend they’ll get it. But now people are starting to be less afraid and it’s not SARS and Mers so a lot of people are saying chuck it, I’m going to the lake for the holidays.




but on to stonks. I’m surprised I thought it would be a big late day sale. Maybe a lot of people are still red and don’t want to sell red.

Here is the big issue I have with this...the exposure to symptoms time frame is 72 hours to 2 weeks...How the f@#$ do they know if someone sick today got it 2 weeks ago at a memorial day trip to the 7-11 for a hot dog...or at a protest 5 days ago...They can't say that. The protests are 100% going to be discounted as a cause and they'll blame a memorial day that was as AAA put it "So insignificant that we're not even doing travel estimates" as opposed to the protests which had a Boston marathon sized group gathering every day for week...and that's just Massholia...
But they love the Memorial Day smokescreen...they can blame that...

My other favorite is the social media post that says "My friends husband knows a doctor whose nurse sent them this...." and it's some whackadoo list of some covid19 is coming from xyz because some person did some stupid thing somewhere...Why is hearsay the pinnacle of evidence on social media and if you DARE to point out it seems to be a crafted statement and you'd like even a modicum of corroborating evidence you're trying to kill grandma...

PS I am presently wearing a mask so I'm not one of those people..

Pretty much ignored it and did other things today. There'll be opportunities soon enough.

 

As far as the day goes...not to disappointed..If I had waited for a bigger dip on NRGU I could have saved $250 or had 50 more shares...on the + side I caught DIS in it's valley today and closed a long thought dead $100 June 26 2020 put for $0.77 that closed at $0.58...
Also Re-entered DFEN at $14.50...Closed at $14...I got out at $18 on 6/10

 

I was working all day and just sat down and said "OH shit the market is closed....better see what happened" I think it's time to start buying $55 AMD calls anytime it hits $50-52 a share...

 

I started the day up about $3k, went wild, bigly negative at times, then ended up about $1,300. I made a lot of purchases first thing in the morning, I could have timed that better (wait, I can't time it at all).

 

I was working but checking my phone every 30 minutes. The VXX went as high as 45 and swung as low 37.40. The puts I picked up this morning closed with 21% profit. It would have been a good day to be home day trading. Crazy swings in just about every security I watch.

It's the other way around. They're trying to raise ~$3B of capital by selling shares that are authorized to be issued but never have been (i.e., they're not stock from buybacks aka treasury stock). No one has held title to the shares.

Exactly. Those $3B shares will also delute the current value of their common stock. Considering they are already in Ch 11 and are still trying to secure funding through share value I'd be running the hell away if I owned them. Unless it was a day trade.

Yeah the ones I paid $1.49 for are $1.91 right now...I had a $2.00 sell in....

 

Ok at days end I'm sitting on 1,400 NRGU @ $4.67/share...Come on $20 baby...slow and steady...
