So.. is it silly to keep the empty bottles to display? I'm not talking about the 348 empty JD bottles.. but things like 1792 Full Proof and George Dickel and Mitchers etc.. Is that a thing or am I just drunk?

I recycle all of mine save for ones I want to keep as decanters or plan to cut. I keep all of my corks though. May try to hold on to unicorn bottles, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Haven’t tried this one before. A little floral. Reminds me of Willett’s Pot Still, but bearable. 100 proof so with a cube there’s no fire, just a touch on the finish. I like it, but don’t think it’ll be a regular in the rotation.

NorCal >>> SoCal, and it’s not even remotely close. I hated California until I spent time up north.

But yeah, everything great is on or near the coast with the most

Hoping to accompany some friends on a barrel selection for a store pick down there once this Covid nightmare is over.

Haven't had the C919 yet. Only the A119. If the C is better than the A as I've read, then I'm super excited!

Speaking of budget bourbons, i recommend Very Old Barton's Bottled in Bond. It's suprisingly good for the price.

Blended some Ardbeg 10 with some Knob Creek 12 while enjoying a smoke. I figure... W.T.F. not!?

I’ve had that bottle for awhile but haven’t opened it, how do you like it?

So far I am enjoying it. Just opened and took a few sips. oak and vanilla on the nose initial taste has a slight sweetness to it that turns into more of the charred oak flavor. Slight heat in the finish but in a good way that lets you know you are drinking but doesn’t destroy your mouth and throat.

I might have to finally pop it open. I should probably finish a few bottles I have open first
