A few recents. Margaret doesn’t miss a nap with me during mid day



The other clowns out on the catio. I recently added a couple more lights so they can hang into the late night to chase bugs

 

The catio is getting a freshening up this year too I hope, the PO of the home put this enclosed porch in and after 10 years it’s seen better days. Going with all aluminum and adding some high hats to the ceiling, should last me a good long while. One of my favorite places to hang. My favorite is opening the house windows and watching the tv through the porch window!

 

Napping with a cat is the best.

 

maggie will follow me to the couch or bed, she knows when I’m getting tired haha. Normally she sleeps on top of the covers but in the winter time she sometimes goes under the covers and sleeps at the base of my feet. Too funny. Pancake (the smaller orange tabby) enjoys making biscuits every morning in bed, and waking me up by jumping on my face.

My little dude does the same thing, but he'll just stand on my chest and paw at me until I let him under the covers. He's got a "spot" between my arm and ribcage where he gets real long and puts his chin on my shoulder. Cutest damn thing I've ever seen.

 

It’s funny how they have the quirkiest little things. And as they age, their quirks sometimes get different. My other tabby doesn’t sleep in the bed or nap with me almost ever, but he does sit at the top of the couch as I nap, that’s his go to spot. He used to sleep in the bed but maybe now he’s too “grown up” to sleep with dad lol

 

My cat is coming up on 14 years old. He has changed a bit, although still nearly as energetic as he was 10 years ago.

The weirdest thing he does is trying to "talk." He's a very vocal little guy, but that has recently changed from strictly meowing to mostly something of a "grumble." If you talk to him, he'll try to match the number of syllables in response. For instance, if you say "good boy," he'll grumble twice in response. I'll try to get a video of it and post it here.

haha, my cat know the saying “wanna eat?” They instantly go to where I keep the wet food in the laundry room. And peanut, the older tabby, starts getting vocal as hell. Like he’s saying, “you said the word, now feed me human!”
