The blade, it blends in with the bottom of the bush hog.

 

I don’t know about you but I most certainly don’t Want to farm that much... there’s a certain point where it’s just too much

Yes, there are 3 or 4 families around here farming that much. I can’t even fathom the logistics in keeping all that going. But I’m glad it’s families and not corporate farms.

 

Look closely the backhoe has been swallowed by the swamp, you can see the cylinder.

 

Maybe if we put on a ‘lil John Fogerty Folks would see it clearer.

Even with dull beat up blades this ole Woods still cuts good

 

I’d say it’s about 5-6”, I try to keep my skids off the ground if possible since they aren’t that thick.

To me $45 an acre is cheap!

 

We cut a small lot down near the gulf for a family that lives up in Wi/IN area, 50'x100' and they pay $200.

 

How much edge do ya'll put on your brushhog blades? I haven't sharpened mine yet. On my finish mower I sharpen and then knock the edge down/blunt it slightly and it lasts much longer than a knife edge mowing my AR flint rocks.

 

2003, 162k miles. I don’t drive it much, have had it about 6 years.

 

I like to put about a 1/16” flat on my bush hog blades, that way it doesn’t leave the stumps sharp, it kinda shatters them. I’ve had to many flats due to small stumps.

 

Thanks. I have a ton of sumac stalks after cutting. They end up being pretty sharp. I'm lucky I haven't had any flats yet.
