Thanks, so a compressor would also go to switches (5-8) what about the lockers? Probably just (1-4)?

 

What are the steps to removing the fuse box so I can run the wires through there? I saw 3 bolts, is that correct? Do i need to unplug anything or does it just lift off easily? Messing with the entire fuse box has me hesitant but it can't be that hard...

 

Compressor is the exception. You’ll still use the relay for that due to the power draw. Basically you’ll use the switch pro to turn on the relays

You don’t need to remove the fuse box. You just need to remove the 10mm. Unplug the one connection. Then the 2 tabs that hold the other one in. You can remove the electrical tape and open it up. You can then stuff the 3 wires in there.

makes it way nicer as the fuse box still closes like normal.


Remove the bolt in red. Unplug the connector in Orange

 

Not necessary since it’s just turning on the relay. There’s basically no draw.

 

Anyone have issues with them after mounting them horizontally?

 

The only people that have issues are the ones that mount horizontally.

water can get in the connector and start corroding things. Not an issue if it’s vertical. There’s pix in this thread.

 

What if I heat shrink the leads going in the connector so what can’t get inside...?

 

Replace SDHQ left panel if any one need the old one just pm

I’d just mount it vertical and not have to worry about it.. There’s a reason it’s recommended.

you don’t have to, but if it does get water damage and corrode, it voids the warranty due to improper installation.

 

Both problems solved for @Jabib , will clear hood struts and reservoir issue

 

I just ordered the SDHQ vertical mount. Where did you find that terminal connector mount?

if you must have it mounted horizontally, use lots of dielectric grease to prevent water intrusion and corrosion.
