While driving check engine light comes on as truck starts to buck back and forth. I was lucky that I wasn’t on a highway at the time. Dealership tells me fuel pump is defective and part of a massive recall. The real kick to the nut sack, is truck will be in shop waiting until October. Being supplied with a rental is fair, but the wait of 4 months is does not sit well with me.

I would talk to your insurance agent. If in fact the truck is just going to sit for 4 months you should get a break on your insurance.
