You can change bodies on them as you like. Mechanically though, axial isn't doing well after initial release of SCX10.2
Let me know what you're aiming at. I might know of some other options worth looking at

Things have changed a little from my circa 1986 Tamiya Boomerang.

What do have in mind? I originally thought about TRX4 but I always end up liking the Bomber look.

Well, there are limits to everything. TRX4 comes with lexan body (flexible plastic shell with scale gadgets for looks). There are hundreds of different bodies available.
Example: get TRX4 builders kit with your choice of electronics and Proline lexan body named Metric. Adding some 3d prints from Knight Customs you get yourself a nice short cab 2nd gen tacoma...
Out of rock bouncers, Bomber would be a very good choice. Certainly better than Gmade GOM.
Try looking into Vanquish Products truck kits. Not exactly rock bouncers but just as capable. Pricy but worth every penny...

I haven’t even looked at an RC car since some fuckhead liberated mine from a locked garage in 2002. Kinda crushed my soul for a while, they stole both my bicycles at the same time.

Not many 14 y/o rebuilding 100,000rpm two strokes with hand tools....and then the douchebags of Brampton made sure there was one less.

I had a Team Associated RC10GT for playing in the gravel and grass. And a Team Associated TC3 for rippin’ around the GO station parking lot. Fun times.

Best I can do now is hope my kids will show an interest and excuse me from dropping $1000 on a new setup. E7A3882D-4A9B-4247-827E-928C748C2FA3.jpgB74B3841-03C9-4F95-8B7B-DFBFDCB515C3.jpg

Oh sure it looks photo realistic, but what about the understated elegance of the graphics used in the classics that left so much more to the imagination.

I love the depth perception! Slightly smaller and narrow pitch. Yup, looks further away to me!
