That's kinda like the Miata's big brother, just back from The Warz.

That most times is the issue (traction) with the older versions of Monster miata's. but even the LS engine v8 platform is only
slightly heavier than the original iron block 1.6 or 1.8 liter 4 cylinder. but produces 4 times the horsepower and torque.
so setting up the suspension and wheel and tire combo can make these cars stick like glue to the road.
I bet this car handles like a dream and is plenty fast even scary fast.

Evidently these are soviet issue built long before the snow mobile. Not sure exactly why they needed to be out on the frozen
tundra. Maybe to bring men to and from a submarine that is broken through the ice ???
What ever the case there are plenty of these type vehicles -some look like buses, even tanks. That car in the photo is most
definitely from the 1940's. Never seen anything that crazy. Great pic.

The older Bronco's from the late 60's through the mid 70's are very hard to find now a days.
I very rarely ever see any on the road. To find pristine examples like those in the above photos
is really special. Even the shortbed chevy pickups used to be plentyful on the used market for
dirt cheap. like $800. Now even a clapped out rust bucket with no engine or transmission can
bring $2K or more. The good part was the 2 wheel drive bodies would be a direct bolt on for the
    4 wheel drive running gear.

Back in the late 80's I owned a 1979 Chevy Silverado short fleet side bed. (sorry no pics)
it was black w/ red interior. Had the hated 350 olds diesel v8. And a turbo 400 automatic.
It ran ok for about a year, Then it started to shoot smoke rings out the exhaust. Ut oh !
Yep head gasket. Running it for more than 30 minutes brought the temp gauge to the H.
Well I priced the head gaskets at $13 for one and $15 for the other. But the quote to fix it
was over $1000. Back then that was a lot of money. And for diesels you needed some fancy
torque wrenches. for working with the heads. So the guy that gave me the repair quote had
a 71 Olds Delta 98 4 door sedan with a decent 350 gas motor in it . But the rear end was bad . I purchased
it from him for $500, Drove it back and forth to work for about 3 months before swapping the engine
into the truck. After that the old chevy now a gas version drove fine with no issues.
I ended up selling it in 1990 for $2500.

Yes, the older Bronco's are indeed getting harder and harder to find. My Dad had 2 or 3 when I was a kid. One of my uncles had one when I was in my twenties that I was thinking about buying from him. He wanted $3,500 for it and I remember thinking that was way too much for an old Bronco. Looking back I should have bought it no questions asked. I was in pretty good shape both mechanically and cosmetically. What an idiot I was back then when I knew everything!

Yes I can fully understand that point of view. So many of those vehicles were not considered to be worth much
when they hit 100k miles or they had been in an accident. A friend of ours purchased a grand cherokee 86 model.
In total he had to purchase 3 other ones all that had been parted out just to make one good running truck out of all of it.
In fact the truck ended up being really nice. parked out front of his house. And as you drove past the house in the back
yard you saw the skeletal remains of the donors. Seemed kind of trailer trash to me. But it was his to deal with.
