My nephew just stopped by and woke me up (was playing the 100 till dawn) on his way back from the coast fishing with fresh ling and halibut fillets!
Hes hella into gaming, you should see the computer he built specifically for it.

Hes probably that guy that pops in, kills everybody, says nice try boys and ghosts....

Im remembering I took lessons from a local legend Marvin Allen a thousand lifetimes ago haha

I uncased the RG and handed it to him, I remember his reaction to the rose caught me by surprise.

"Ah an rg man nice, ew a rose, let me show you why I change these out"

But man I thought those were awesome....?
He ran it thru some chops and a few dives and handed it back to me totally out of tune lol

In its defense those were brand new strings I had Bernie put on.

Man yearrrrs ago when I first joined they had just made the 2nd gen sub forum because it was getting so much traffic as people started customizing and modding these trucks I needed a mod for something I dont remember and he was like hang on we have a game of pool going on.

I just pictured dudes hanging out playing pool getting high drinking and getting paid....

Got about 20-30 minutes in today, shoulder and arm started hurting and going numb. Had MRI yesterday, hope to have answers next week.

Always wanted one of these to mess around with.

 

Last nite I got the foot pedal programmed to change between clean and distorted and next thing I knew the sun was coming up lol

Sitting down to find my sound now and was hoping to pick your brains as far as effects.

Like what is a favorite recipe of yours or suggestions to try for distortion and a nice clean, not dry, the amp sounds good stock with nothing.

Might as well get some presets going since I have effects to play with.

Here are my options.
They combined the chorus and flanger (still seperable) and put an octaver in the empty slot on the 100...

Not really looking for a lead type tone, more into like a driving rhythm but you can throw that in for later if you want....plenty of room to store multiple presets on this one...

Nevermind, I realize the depth of what Im asking.

Theres not really a lot you guys can do from where you are and every amp/effects setup is different.

Dam thats a lot of thinking I have a freaking headache haha

Soooo many options sooo many settings, what does what, get one close and hit the wrong button and lose 45 minutes worth of tinkering lol

Man I wish one of you guys was here.
Managed to get two distortions and one clean I like saved and in position to switch back and forth with the footswitch.

Im done with this project for now. Time to have some fun I'll dick around and find a distortion with some reverb later on.
Time to practice.

Think I'll put this away and grab the acoustic and shut the ol brain down for a while.

I think I will download the insider software and dig up a cable and do this the easy way by finding someone elses patches I like while I keep familiarizing myself with these controls.

Its always funner with a good tone you like.

 

I like throwing on a little chorus or a verrrry short delay for rhythm sounds. thickens it up a bit.

Yeah thats exactly what I ended up with on patch1 after going thru everything.

The octaver is surpisingly usable with the gain turned down and the speed set at barely moving, really brings up the low end.
