Anybody been up to the Badger Lake area at Mt. Hood this spring? How's the road up to it looking?

Been wheeling the Mt Hood Nat. Forest for the past few weeks and the biggest issue I came across was downed trees. I always carry a chainsaw when i'm out wheeling during the early season so other that a little work it's usually not a problem. Most roads below 4k ft have melted but some areas that are full shade still have deep enough snow to possibly cause issues. I did use the winch a couple times to pull myself through some fairly deep snow drifts but that just makes the trip more fun. Its early season and like anything if your prepared for the conditions you'll be havin' a good time mon!:rasta:

Personally feel a shovel would've done the trick to get that SUV unstuck. Good to know though.

I haven't been up to Mt Hood since February so I have no idea how the snow is this year. Planning a camping trip with my girlfriend next weekend so we'll see how it plays out.

This guy is beyond shovel. He needed to leave that low slung SUV at home or have just turned around. Why he bothered to even attempt to pass those drifts is beyond me. Again NOT being properly outfitted for the job usually ends in failure. Not saying don't go out and explore just do it with the proper equipment for the current conditions.
