i may be wrong but I believe the top tier flagships are typically leaked/announced a month or more before GPU’s below them.

On average what is your data usage for your home?
I checked my usage today and I’m 57GB in with 25 days left, and March-April we used 800+ Gb of data.

    Wow

50 down, 3 up 30 bucks a month. Downloaded that new call of duty this month so it spiked. 190 gigs for one thing is insane.

We have 300 up and down, $40/month for fiber.
This is for December-January billing cycle

:yay: Ha that’s awesome, as you can see I don’t need much. They are always calling about upgrading to fiber and what not but this is doing perfectly fine.

Man I hate y’all :D 20 down/10 up fixed wireless for $60 a month. The good news is that I found out we should be getting fiber in the near future though:bananadance:

I'm 750/750, and usually we see about 1 TB of usage per month.

Being in the city has benefits, my parents are 25 minutes away in the country and they barely get 7-10 Down on a good day and .5-.7 up.
I couldn’t imagine having less than 50, we had 50 down and 10 up until about 1 year ago, we moved 2 subdivisions to the west and new we can get up to gigabit, I decided to go with the 300 plan to try out since for the promo period it cost the same as the 50 Down DSL plan, after the trial period my sister and I agreed that we would keep the fiber, being able to stream multiple 4K videos on wireless and still have headroom is nice.
Almost all of our data use is streaming, we both stream music via Amazon, Apple, or YouTube videos, and with my sister having a seasonal job (and being effected by Covid, she’s a teacher) certain months she has little to do besides binge Netflix or Disney plus.

Without the $20/month discount I get our plan would be $60/month, I couldn’t imagine only having 20 down for that price. Hopefully when you get fiber it’ll be more cost effective.

What would you say your biggest use is for your internet? There’s only 2 of us and we don’t have a home server or anything that would increase our data usage, I would say 70% of our use is probably YouTube and Netflix and Disney plus, 20% is amazon and Apple music, the rest is Downloads or other little things.

Mostly the same. The extra bit for me is working from home a lot and transferring large data files to and from our servers via VPN.

500gb is pretty normalish for me. Obviously some months are more than others. Most of it is streaming though (twitch or YouTube or broadcast tv)

We are lucky an shave gig internet. Though it's 1gig down and like 10mbps up lol

I'm lucky my ISP hasn't enforced it's cap. I used to get the occasional email saying I've exceeded the cap, but no fees, no throttling, etc..

Usually use >600GB per month. Think we're capped at 1TB?

Wish I had some of those fiber speeds.
They've got Webpass in Denver which is close by. Hopefully it'll make it's way down here soon.

I do worry for the US, that pretty soon you'll see a lot of throttling based on marketing or specific websites your ISP has deals with.

Has something changed recently? Only thing I've heard about is the at&t+HBO thing.

Not yet but there is nothing stopping ISPs from throttling streaming services at any point in the future.

I'm currently rocking an 8700k/2080Ti so I may wait until the 3080 Ti launches before shifting my hobby spending from the truck back to the PC. Everything I've read indicates the Ti launches later, not simultaneous like 2 years ago?

NVIDIA is allegedly launching soon as well, as they are on the same release cycle this year.

(related--I wish AMD made something close to the upper NVIDIA tier because NVIDIA charging an arm and a leg will continue until there's actual competition in that space)

My first build has been evolving since I first made it about 8 years ago. It's current form is mATX. I think the only thing that still remains at this point is the original hard drive.

Also wish that a gpu cooler as good looking as the XFX 290 DD would come out. Not sure how long the 290 will last. Lol20200615_142940.jpg 20200615_142954.jpg
