Thank you all for the advice.
The Lab I had to put down on 4/24 was 9 yrs old and we adopted him as a pup. I also have a 50# mutt the came from the South threw Second Chance in Brookfield.
So he was my 1st lab and we bonded very well, so I'd like another Lab but I don't want anyone less then 1.5 years old.
I've been looking on Labs4Recuse and they have some very nice dogs I'd like to adopt. But the fosters all insist that I have a 6' fence for my yard. I've live here 25 yrs and have had a dog every day and only twice has the 70' run in my yard broke.
I have my wants on one dog and am waiting to hear from the Judge if I'm worthy of this dog or not.

She is not telling the truth. She had a lot of attitude issues, customer complaints of orders not being fulfilled and acted like she was/is the best thing on this forum. She was never asked to be a vendor. FWIW, it’s rare do we ever ask someone to be a vendor. They usually come to us, and then it’s discussed.

    Saw the email, thanks.
Right, for us non-moderators, it's a he said/she said scenario. So, we can't be the ones judging at this point. Last word goes to Bob and how he wants to handle it, so if he came to the decision to perma, then that's that.

Truly unfortunate that it had to come to it, because a lot of the stuff was neat in my opinion.

When I rescued Ozzy a few years ago at the Taunton Shelter they had us fill out a 2 page form on Wednesday. Talked that night and decided on him (over a pair of kittens). I called right as they opened so he wasn't gone and they said "oh we have to call the vet but we already decided you could take either/or". Damn I wanted to take them all. I ended up taking Thug Rose from a former friend who was homeless and she came from a place somewhere in Central MA that had so many rules throughout the cat's life, one being you are not allowed to re-home the animal.

My folks did central in the Hanson house we moved to in 1998. It had been roughed in already (new construction) at the first buyer's request and then it fell through. Not sure what they paid.

Wouldn't be worth it to me. I have window units in the living room and upstairs. The worst is buying a new one if the upstairs one dies b/c the windows are so tiny and even with an 11" tall one I have to swing the bottom pane open and then close it after getting the unit in the window. UGH

Sorry about your lab. It sucks you have to go through hell and high water to save a dog but you can go on CL and pay the same and get one from a shady dealer no questions asked. My dog is technically a potential bird hunting dog, but (with me) she hasn’t hunted a day in her life. She’s not gun shy (OOB fireworks display tested!) but I just don’t hunt. Yet. Have considered small game and bird hunting. But that’s beside the point.

if you haven’t yet, check out Rhode home rescue. I know @Skierrichy was actually adopting a dog because I came across him on the highway when he was going out to pick one up :D :D don’t know what his experience was.

if you want a working dog, vet it to be a working dog. You wouldn’t hire someone without vetting them. Don’t hire a dog without it. My dog doesn’t have a job (I do my best to give her a job though, she’s a working dog she needs to have a job) so we didn’t “test” her when adopting. She’d do great as a cattle dog probably mediocre as a bird dog. She’s treed a few turkeys and coons though.

it’s hard for us. Chances are there was a lot behind the scenes we don’t see. But you gotta mess up bad for TW to ban you as a vendor (even if not an “official” TE vendor). I’m sure (and not to be insulting here) both sides were right, wrong, and petty. But, hey, not my circus not my monkeys. I’m just some idiot that comes here to talk trucks and stocks.

At night I keep the bedroom AC set at 61. During the day, I don't care much if the house is warm. I just need it cool to sleep.

My bedroom AC was turned on a month ago and it won't shut off until probably November. House has poor insulation upstairs and a metal roof, it gets hot as hell up there.

Picked up my truck today from the dealer. Had the frame coating done. Talking with them when I dropped it off, it’s not a spray like I thought and they don’t do the whole frame. Said it like a caulking gun and the only do just behind the motor mounts to the rear cab mounts.

Some people have no concept at all about water runoff and install the flashing backwards so that the water can sneak behind the flashing. Will you be putting a ice and water shield for an underlayment of the first few feet( courses)?

didn’t pay attention to how old the post was

Not sure if I mentioned this in this thread , but dealership ( Nashua) called and told me my new frame came in! I also ordered these rims at $195 each .

Took truck to have a bodywork estimate on passenger door and rear bumper.

With a new frame, relatively new steering rack and leaf springs ( all replaced by dealership) I’m just going to keep my truck for another few years and save a lot of money. Will add running boards kayak/ ladder racks, a cover and level it off with a moderate lift that won’t call any adjustments
Edit: oh , and a Entirely new stereo replacement

I actually have a similar dent in my rocker. I’m going to hit up a pdr place soon so they can look at it, I only want like a 75% job doesn’t have to be perfect. I’ll let you know what they quote me.

Thanks. Body guy I talked to today said he can fix the rocker w/o taking it off . Thinks I may need a new bumper. I’ll let you know as well on what price estimate I get

I'm not towing a camper quite as often with the Tacoma these days, so in addition to replacing them because the glass was cracked on one, and the heater on the other stopped working, I switched back to OE mirrors with turn signals, color matching covers, and added the heated glass to them. Yes the truck is still in need of a wash.

Well it's been a busy but fun weekend so far. My daughter graduated from kindergarten on Friday, we did my B-day/kids grad party + movie night tonight and my son graduates from elementary school onto middle school on Monday!

I've ordered several things from her and had no issues whatsoever. Her stuff is made in China, so like everyone else, covid has delayed prototyping and production. I'm not worried about the grab bar and HUD I put money on.
