What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Do you think that will shoot okay in a HVLP gun? It seems pretty thick to me, and I was adding about 3 oz of reducer to my mix, to get it to flatten a bit more.

 

Bedslide installed, came out great.



Deck paint is still drying but she's pretty minty. Gonna be nice to use it to load the Sequoia axle tomorrow and take it to my friends place to plasma cut all of the old mounts off.

 

The Sequoia axles are semi float as well right? What are you putting that under?

 

Yes unfortunately. I got a truss for it, though I don't think that's the part that's really in danger of bending. It's going under the Tacoma to match the width of the long travel front.

 

Oh cool, I didn't know you were going long travel or I forgot.

 

Yup, just moving along at a slow pace cause busy with work (that I don't enjoy)

I make all my progress on the weekends in large portions and like nothing on the week days

Why can't you just put the sequoia bearing carriers on anyway?

 

Different bolt pattern. The 4 studs on a tundra axle are spaced evenly like the tacos. The sequoia have 2 further and 2 closer

 

Why Toyota did that, no one knows

 

Huh, well that's annoying. That's a lot of work to do to an axle. Just chopping the brackets takes a long time, but then factor in the cost of the new brake components and making the ebrake work and well you have your work cut out. As I do :/

Had a blast getting this transmission setup before going in: (New seals, upgraded magnetic drain plugs, new back-up sensor, throwout bearing, shift fork, boot, slave cyl, HD MC shift seat, MC HD shifter bush, MC short throw shifter) Very happy with how it came out.
