Didn't tear off the rear license plate - good times (apparently happens often on JLs).

by adjustable, do you mean a folding one?
was thinking of going with an adjustable bracket but the only Rhino-rack one is $240 on the Canadian amazoom site and these are out of stock (and i know i've seen that type of mechanical adjustment but i have no idea what it's called so i can't' correctly search for it. or hell. i'd build one

So right now i was thinking either hack one of these folding table leg brackets or go with Marine Antenna base because my Tacoma will soon enough be part boat. there is also the plastic version...

    Adjustable for tuning it.

There is a screw on the tip that allows you to make it longer and shorter for tuning.

    That is adjustable.

and this is the reason i've not added a CB yet. I have literally no idea what i'd be doing without you guys :annoyed:

i was always under the assumption that it's tuned by cable length since it screws with the frequency, so you'd need to trim down the cable little by little to hit th right spot, or is that just HAM radios or did i just read some weird shit on the internet that makes no sense?

Just adjust the tuning tip on the antenna so you don’t burn out the CB. Don’t coil the extra cable length from the antenna to the radio. Also get a spring for the antenna so it doesn’t get snapped off by branches and a quick release for the antenna, that way you can take it off before going into a parking garage and won’t bash the crap out of it.
