Single 12x10 door (or 10x10). For that size building, IMO you lose to much wall space going dual doors plus the floor space by the doors. Dual doors leaves you pretty much just one wall for everything

Any plans for a lift in the future?

What if you had it pitched down in the front and up in the back. With the wall higher in the back you could utilize the extra height on the back wall while keeping the two doors..

I was quoted on a tube building that unfortunately only comes with standard roof for $9k. That was with 2 10x8 doors.

I’m waiting for an I-beam building quote.

I just think it would look funny for Where it’s going to be located in the corner of my yard. I like the thought of the wall space, just not the way it would look in the yard.

I’d go w a traditional roof, you can always add dormers later but this would give you storage/extra interior space. Make sure they install eaves. Some don’t and it’s not good for the building and looks like crap.

Bump the height by 2 feet at least.

Don’t skimp out on the slab. Make sure it’s a high enough psi and thickness if you want a lift down the road.

I've thought about a lift, but unsure atm.

for sure eaves, i don't think dormers look right on a metal building garage/shop.

2 more feet? it's already 10 foot at the lowest point and 14' with a 2/12 pitch on the high side, Idk if I want it towering above my house lol

You’ll want the height if you put a lift in..

    An update to this:
After 2 months, the filters are thick with fine dust and a few random leaves (there’s a small tree just outside the garage door). I pulled one of the filters to check on it (While the fan was running) and immediately noticed the fan running better. It was struggling to draw air through the filters which told me two things. First that the “seal” I created when I built the unit was working remarkably well since everything was made to fit snug and no use of any kind of weather stripping to create a seal. I did add some masking tape to a couple seams where I thought air leaks could occur but that’s about it.
Second, the plain Jane box fan is pretty underpowered for this project even with double the filter surface.
In the two months of service the filters had collected enough dust to limit air flow so my options as I’m looking at it are:
    1. get new filters and keep on chooglin’.

    2. get a stronger fan/motor

    3. redesign the unit to add possibly a third filter. Adding a fourth filter would be easier to build overall since I’d be building a cube. Either way increasing the surface area of the filters should make their service life longer and improve air flow and functionality of the unit.

To think, all that from a guy with a degree in design. I shoulda gone into engineering.

Seems to me you’re testing and building a marketable product. Thanks for the update and original post

Friend of mine just uses a hilift jack on the bead, weighted with the truck. Works quite well and doesnt add an an extra tool assembly

We’ve done the same for Offroad truck tires without issue unless it’s a split rim like a Hutchinson.

Two doors. The old better to have and not need than need and not have. Also, with two doors you can still use one side for storage and not use the door on that side if you wish. Remember the more storage space you have the more junk you'll accumulate.

    Pitched roof.

Are cheap feeler gauges worth it?

It mostly going to be used for checking spark plugs gap. Sometimes (not much) checking valves.

The good thing is after they get all rusty from the truck tool box getting soaked then forgotten about you can toss them .

With no regrets not like they cost a few hundred $$$

How is the accuracy on the cheap feeler gauge?

I use a spark plug gaping tool. Then my neighbor check the gap with his feeler gauge. The gap was off. I don't know if the gaping tool was off or the feeler gauge.

Which brand/model feeler gauge you're using?
