I can't believe that's still going on given all of the development in that area. I lived in Montbury off of El Toro Road for about 10 years when the Mega Church there was only an outdoor tent.

The park used to be closed fairly often due to the kitties - even had a fatality once when a little kid was killed... very sad.

Upgraded the Rallon to 160! Took less than hour to swap the linkage and much of that was spent cleaning bearings. Pretty stoked to see how it changes the bike, but I'll have to wait my turn cause I'm on baby duty this morning.

New linkage installed, old one for comparison...

We ventured to a newer mountain bike specific area today. It was fun. Mtb trails specifically made are always so much fun... did I mention the fun?

I've got a ton to learn but I can't wait to get out and ride! Sorry for the dark picture. I got home last night and tried to get a decent pic.

Still have some playing with the limit screws I'd wager, but eagle install is pretty easy if you watch their youtube video and take your time. Def becoming more of a DIY bike fixes guy. Amazing what you learn when you have to troubleshoot.

I do all my own work except drivetrain. I don’t have the patience. I know on eagle you have to use that little plastic spacer thing? I think it should have been in the box

I can answer all your drivetrain needs. I’ve had a lot of shop time!

I am new to this thread just did my first tubeless tape and sealer, nobody had tape in stock so I used 1” gorilla tape, worked great. Also added a Dakine bed pad which is awesome been riding pretty much every weekend. C6B65481-5394-4865-97BC-1186460AC069.jpgDAB7C6E8-5FF6-4583-AAD5-46798BE11AC5.jpg

I lived in the area around the same time, maybe a little after that. There have been a few attacks in the past year, none fatal though. I do know an mtb rider was killed while repairing his bike on top of mustard hill, but that was a while ago. I didn’t hear about the kid though. There has been a lot of development but that whole area still has a large connection to the canyons, so I don’t see the kitties disappearing any time soon.

Yep, it was. Your settings were pretty close to what I needed too, so minimal initial setup

Recently started mountain biking, went out to the trail for the first time a week or so ago. I had an absolute blast. I'm on a Kona Mahuna and my wife is on a Vitus Nucleus. I'll admit that after my first ride I was already looking at full suspension bikes haha. I need to work on getting some skills on my hardtail first though and committing to a lot more rides before I pull the trigger on that. Awesome way to get out into nature and get some exercise in!

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this in but me and my girl are trying to begin mountain biking, I have a ton of trails around my house, nothing insane or crazy. A lot of concrete/dirt.

Any good recommendations for bikes around the $150 range? I'd like to try and grab us a pair and see how in to it we get without spending a ton up front. I've googled a lot of bikes and the reviews are mixed, as they would be on a bike that price but any good brands you could point me towards would be awesome!

    Thanks!
