@Martin64 that is why I like our "little corner" Even when the Riva' gets busy the crowds do not stay long.....they just "motor on by" and now that "Uncle" has closed the beach near the locks I suspect fewer folks will "launch there".....

Sadly being 50ish has made me a "little" more patient with the "Big boat dumbA$$'s " that spray our homes or rock the little boats.....10-15 years ago I woud be "paint ballin" the shit outta their hulls :devil::devil: :infantry::infantry:.... Now I just let'em ride by and if they are total a$$'s we just call up to the Locks..... it is amazing how long a boat inspection can take when those same Rangers have too "work the locks".... that 15-20 minute "hurry up Splashing" could set you back 2-3 hours :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I go for the entertainment..
The best is watching people fall in at the ramp.
Second is watching them back down.

Part of the unfortunate outcome of this whole virus thing is too many people have discovered this little corner. The little time I get for quiet and serenity has gotten substantially shorter. Use to be I had the first 4 days of the work week pretty much to myself. Now it's just the first 3 or 4 hours of the day all week long. And that's only because I get there prior to sunrise. The other day I was filling my water trailer out of the reservoir. So I, when I do that, leave the suction hose in the water and put out cones blocking it off. That day I pull back down to water's edge and some meat head has his vehicle parked between the cones and next to the suction hose. What an ass! So I pulled in front, blocked them in, hooked up the hose, fired up the pump and gave them about 12 minutes of "noise pollution". Next trip down, the vehicle was about 500' down the shoreline.

Those a$$hats are the "kind " we have follow us onto "road cuts" even with the "DO NOT FOLLOW" signs on our tailgates then bitch because some "truck boss" would politely tell them they were STUPID and we were not paying for damage or a tow truck :thumbsup:....MOT's are for both theirs & our safety BUT brains are not included during licensing test :angrygirl:....

You & I could probably write a book or two on all of the STUPID $hit we have seen just on "road sites" :fistbump::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Cones and signs mean nothing...just something for them to drive past or around. I really like the surprise/fear in their eyes when they come around the corner and see a Freightliner grill or a loader bucket coming at them on a single lane road.

I really want to watch some NHRA Drag racing on TV . Their new schedule shows racing today at
the Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals Presented by Pennzoil on June 12-14 (Houston, Texas)

I checked FS1 ( Channel they broadcast on ) and no Drag racing listed today

That's ok. No need for that.

The problem nowadays is my mind saying "Yeah, I know how to do that. I can do it"...then my body says "Oh, hell naw" and gives my mind one of these:smack:

Yes, the televised racing has been a real boost for morale lately, that is, until we lost one of the best in a terrible crash. A really sobering tribute to MacClyde here before the racing resumed on KOTM
