    Yeah.
Welcome, and I am with the others, looks bad ass. It wouldn't bother me if I was in the market and the truck was mechanically sound and maintained well.

Why not just repaint when it’s time to sell? Looks like you have a good skill set and a new custom paint job in a popular color would probably increase the sell value by a lot.

I love it! That looks great. Do you do automotive paint for a profession? The job looks well done.

Thanks for the welcome man. Replaced a number of parts (all OEM) that I knew about before purchasing and switched to synthetic oil. Truck has 212K kilometers (127K miles) and the frame so far is solid, but I live in the rust belt so it will be an ongoing concern lol.

My profession is Art Director for Ad agency. I’m a designer/illustrator, former street rodder/drag racer in my younger years who fell in love with the early Tacomas some years back. I’m a kid trapped in a older man’s body what can I say. With regards to the paint job, I had some technical kinks applying some of the graphics which I should have allowed for earlier in the process, but I am OK with it and can fix them without redoing the entire truck. Truck didn’t require new paint, just me having fun. Appreciate your interest and glad you like it.

Love it. Wish you were closer, I'd bring my cobra that needs paint for a similar job. Love the theme!
Don't know if you watch the show street outlaws but there a wagon with that type of paint job or wrap and I've just always loved it.

Man, I rarely ever watch TV but have caught the odd car and truck shows at my son’s place and I tell ya I could easily watch that stuff round the clock (real inspiring). Your cobra sounds interesting. We talking original 67 Shelby Cobra (427 cu. inch) or mustang cobra? Been messin with cars since I was probably 14 an can appreciate any project that a guy puts his interest in.(keeps us all sane). Have attached a very old pic of a car I travelled to Syracuse NY for just after I got married. It was rough with no drive train and paid $900. It took me a couple of years to finish it because I had no money just a wife and bills.lol You might get a charge out of it. Anyway, just where are you located? Thanks for the chat have enjoyed the exchange.

I'm way down in Georgia, way far away from you. It's just a plane Jane 97 mustang cobra. There's a procharger sitting next to it in the garage waiting for its time. I'm too broke to afford real old iron muscle cars. Just a little fun car that I'm trying to make fast enough just to keep up with the stock modern muscle. My solid axle swapped 4runner is probably the only thing I've done some real modifications too, enough to call it a build anyways. I love the pic, looks like a pretty sweet gasser build.

Your 97 is a great project car. Don’t talk yourself outa modifying it. If it’s a 4.6 litre (305hp), your super charger should keep you close to the competition. Add a posi-traction rear end, some wild paint and have a blast. Have you considered wrapping the car? What kinda theme do you see on it? Got some profile pics of the car?
