I AM FISHERFOLK!! But not the kind that sits on a bucket and keeps every fish they catch regardless of size, species or regulations, and drops wrappers and line all over the place etc etc.

 

45 million people would make for a large crowd for sure!

 

Lol I know what ya mean , we them dumbasses over here too decimating the fish pop

You have no idea. We live close to it, and are there often, so it was easy to note the fivefold uptick in attendance. There was a lot on the backside of the lake...ive never seen more than 2-3 cars in it. Today it was full and people were parked all over the lane leading up to it.
I told my son...this probably will not be a good place to fish today....

 

BOOOO!!! I was afraid of that. Folks have been cooped up for too long and they want to get outside and enjoy themselves. Can't hardly blame them.

 

Same here. I haven't cleaned a fish in 25 years
My wife uses my old electric fileting knife for turkeys.

 

Ill rope a few steelhead...they are all stocked here. And some bluegills...but nothing else.

 

I only keep flounder and them white perch

 

Or, as normal folks call them....CRAPPIE

 

I like flounder, they are delicious.

 

I’m glad it’s not crowded where we go, we’re blessed to have friends with private places to fish and play in the creek.

 

Are white perch good eating??

 

Crappie are, especially out of colder water.

 

They are ! You can either fry white perch whole scaled without the head or you can filet a white perch both are delicious make sure u keep the meat moist though

 

The main highway near my town is loaded with RV's of every size, shape, and color. I know that the tourists help the local economy, but it just sucks to see people everywhere I go.
I was getting used to the COVID landscape up here...
