Anybody watching the Virtual Le Mans? I must admit, I didn't think it'd be all that interesting to watch. The graphics are incredible and while it's not exactly, it's good. I know @JLee has built a few sim seats over the years and it's kinda cool to see how far sim racing has come. I found very little on the setups but it looks like drivers build their own simulators and run some software package. They've got commentators calling the race as well-it really does look fairly real. The pit stops and "shit happens" parts of racing are definitely fake. The do have "in car" views and the track cameras. Every once and a while, you see the sim seat and driver setup but otherwise, again, it looks pretty realistic.

Definitely not the real thing but something that is kinda fun to watch for a bit.

 

So... just so if anyone was wondering who has the most AWESOME daughter in law on the planet... Ya, it would be this guy.

Had to take my COVID high risk ass and find a Star Smog shop in order to renew reg on the Tacoma. Called up Paul over at Fremont Star Smog Check. Explained my situation and his response was immediate - not a problem, full social distancing per CDC, no need to worry, come on down.

Stopped by this morning, he let me scan the VIN and plug into the OBDII port. He had his mask on the entire time. Was out of there in less than 20 mins. Awesome dude. Can't recall prices, because he was totally cool and respectful of my germaphobe paranoia, I just gave him a $100 bill and said thanks.
